It was a low risk high reward type trade. Didn't work out. We lost a 6th, not that bad. Hope he succeeds in the future. My only question to this is that Huff just got put on IR, so for the final game, we are a bit thin at. But, its the final game. Lets go play spoiler. #JetUp

I feel LB is our biggest need right now. I also think we will cut McGovern to save that cash. I think GM Joe will enter free agency with about 70 million in cap space. I want in free agency to sign Q to a long term deal if he is not too expensive. Get a stud corner and a guard. Maybe a WR and TE.
Looking at this one site that has a list of potential free agents next year, I say we're gonna be drafting a pass rusher. The edge market right now, looks to be pretty much veterans in their thirties. Now that's not terrible obviously if they can still play. I'd love to have chandler Jones on the Jets next year, but I don't think that's in Joe D's vision. I think he likes the idea of having a young team. Maybe, at least I would, we bring in like a Jerry Hughes from Buffalo to be a situational guy, if he and the Bills ever part ways.
Buy honestly the most likely guy I could see us making a run for in the offseason would be Derek Barnett from Philadelphia. He's still in the prime of his career, Joe D knows him from his time in Philly, we need depth, former first round pick. I think the Jets will look at him a lot. Definitely wouldn't hurt if the price is right. And good move by Joe D too. I wish Shaq the best. He had a couple good plays. But the 9 mil is gonna be crucial.
Hoping to get a guy like Karlaftis in the draft. Like you said this defense is built around pressuring the qb. We need to get after the passer next year. And who knows if Lawson is gonna be 100% himself next year. Hope we can get a guy to be our Nick Bosa on this team. Karlaftis, Hutch, or Thibs. Let's go Joe D.
Most of Joe Douglas's FA signings even the ones that are 2 or 3 years are actually one-year deals so the Jets can easily clear up another 20 million at least!
