Thanks for the introduction to the new features. Merry Christmas!
Great video, thanks!
Thank you Dr.Gibson
Thanks Dr. Gibson! I have 1 Question. How can I get this example? I can't find this example in HecData example folder.
Thank you for the introduction…👍
Hi Dr Gibson..I want to apply the HEC RAS sediment transport model in a meandering channel. Can you upload some tutorials in that regard?
Hi Dr Gibson. I've been attempting some 2d sediment modelling on an alpine reach and am finding I'm getting error code 157 consistently despise trying the fixes seen on hec ras forums? Is there some stability based setting I am missing?
Very useful!
great introduction video thank you
nice explanation. thanks for you efforts.
It is a really awesome and helpful video. Thank you!
Hello again Dr Gibson, Thanks again for all of these amazing videos. I was wondering if you have ever encountered increased fragmented innundation errors when performing bed change analysis using the sediment models ? I am finding my areas of high erosion also are subject to incredibly high fragmentation in RAS meaning my outputs are missing flow data over bed loss areas.
Does RAS have the capability to do erosion and sediment transport in the same model as non-Newtonian flow?
Hi Stan, are there video tutorials that runs through the parameters you tweaked and what they mean? Thank you
hello Dr Gibson, thank you for the video. I have tried to follow it and other 2D tutorial videos to work on a model but i'm getting an error and I can't seem to find out what it means. "ERROR: CHECKSedCoeffData: Precip or Excess have not been linked correctly", any idea what i might have to give a look to handle this ?
Hello Dr. Gibson,
When I try to run sediment transport 2D simulation using the 6.2 version (or even older version) I alawys get the following error and the simulation never starts, if i turn off sediments, flow computation works normally:
Transport Function: Meyer Peter Muller
Sorting Method: Active Layer
Fall Velocity Method: Soulsby
Global deposition/erosion methods: Soulsby
HDF_ERROR trying to use HDF output file
Subroutine HDF_S2D_WRITE_LAT
HDF_ERROR trying to close HDF output file:
HDF5-DIAG: Error detected in HDF5 (1.8.11) thread 0:
#000: ….srcH5S.c line 405 in H5Sclose(): not a dataspace
major: Invalid arguments to routine
minor: Inappropriate type
How can I solve this issue? I tried running on a different Pc, I got this error even on flow simulation without sediments.
one time I tried redoing the whole modeling process and sediments works fine but now even If I redo it, it gives the same error and it doesnt work.
Thank you in advance.
Hello Dr. Gibson, thanks for all the amazing videos. Can I be modeling the effect of barrage gates on sediment transport(gates numbers: 56 gate ) ?
Hello Dr Gibson, thank you for the video. I have tried to follow it and other 2D tutorial videos to work on a model but i'm getting an error and I can't seem to find out what it means. "forrtl: severe (157): Program Exception – access violation
