England should be going in it to win it, now. That is now the expectation, this is the price you pay for doing well.
That said, all that fans should realistically look for is progress. The team, with a few tweaks and in its best form, can win the damn thing, but all we should ask is that even if they go out at the SFs or lose in the final, to show some progress. If you lose, ok, but lose better. Lose in a way that shows you've grown and learnt from your mistakes, there's just more room for improvement. Show more calmness and composure in both boxes, and more quality in midfield. This team has grown a lot from the situation Southgate inherited, and fans have much to be excited about.
