      I moved your likes up from "69" to "70". I sincerely apologize. You know, judging from the Fulham matches I have seen, Ream isn't a bad option for the for a 3rtd in a 3 4 3, or as a locker room guy…or to "control Gio" if he's on the squad.

      I hope Sargent plays as the eight. I am aware it’s not his natural position but hear me out.
      1.) He is more used to big crowds and hostile environment
      2). He is bigger and stronger than Luca. He would be more of a danger in set pieces and with Acosta’s emergence as a set piece taker. You’ll want that.
      3.) Since the birth of his daughter-Sargent looks like he belongs in the Premier League.
      4) Berhalter screwed up by not giving LDT time before. But I am not sure of giving him the starting nod against Mexico is the wisest move after one game against Honduras.
      5) Because he plays in the Premier League he’ll provide some grit. After watching the Canada game, we need some players that are ready for a bit of a nasty game. And Mexico will really want this game considering are recent success.
      6) He is better than Roldan and Lleget but not as dangerous as Weah and Morris.

      Topic for conversation: Best soccer-related movies (or at least a Top 10 List). You could even divide the movies between A) movies directly about soccer (like *The Damned United*) and B) movies with soccer in the background (like *Fever Pitch*, the Colin Firth version based on Nick Hornby's book).

      I made a comment when this was live that I don’t really watch MLS. Well, let me say that I used to watch a lot of Sporting KC games when my brother-in-law Benny Feilhaber played for them. Also, I used to have season tickets (on the field) to LA Galaxy when they had Beckham and Donovan. Alexi Lalas used to talk to my sister before the game because I had field seats and we would drink in their club where the players would come out from the dressing room. Last couple years I kinda started watching EPL a lot more. Just thought I’d come clean about my MLS comment. I’m trying to get into it again! Not trying to be a Euro snob 😉

      Derek is wrong & Brett is 1000% right about “dark horses” Derek’s definition is kind of weird as it’s influenced by his knowledge of the pool.

      Anyone who hasn’t been called up to a WCQ game would be a dark horse especially considering how change adverse GGG is.

      That’s Sonora, Tessman. Clark, Mihailovic, Cowell, whoever else. NO ONE has any of those guys being named to the WC team, hence they are all dark horses. They are not completely unknown, but to GGG apparently the are. His MLS knowledge is GZ, SL, CR, PA…speaking of which his former teammate would be a dark horse too, Parades.

      This is TOTAL BS to not bring in our best CB, Brooks,when we have players hurt/out of form. GGG needs to have thicker skin.

      Im still convinced de la torre gets left out because ggg so easy to butthurt. dlt burned him in that interview and greg will not stand for that. Waiting to see that excuse and the one for brooks why they were left out!

      You can watch Alan on the same platform you watch Teserman. Paramount +. And if you not watching all soccer how can you claim to know what your talking about. Alan should’ve been called in long long time ago. That’s on Greg. But Alan is a baller and prolly 4th in the choice midfield

      I’d have to agree with Derek on that dark horse convo. Tessman played in MLS and actually played for US and Alan Sonora is merely a prospect.
