Having watched Onana during his time at Ajax for 5 plus years it's not an improvement. Supporters and media need to move on from Lampards first season when we used Kante further forward. We operated the Zonal defence at set pieces which is poor defence. Also Lampard chopped and changed the defence. Kepa has one of the best save ratios and other goalkeeper stats in the EPL. Recent goals by Nunez, Mcginn, Ward-Prouse and Enciso where all unstoppable. The idea is to trim wages. Cech kept him at the club I know who's judgement I trust and it's not Boehly or the recruitment team. Mendy conceded 47 goals in 2022 and only one clean sheet. Kepa has conceded the least EPL goals of any keeper and that included 2 own goals by Loftus-Cheek and Chalobah. There is just one year different age wise.

I think a new keeper is the least of our worries, besides Kepa seems to be doing alright.
