Please, Master Eddie Bravo, don't allow your "Bravo Jiu-Jitsu" to be like the now dead and buried Gracie Jiu-Jitsu that you so brilliantly and properly did for good in your combat against Royler.
Not taking anything away from the initiative by Master Eddie Bravo (who's in my estimation is the only consistent contributor to Jiu-Jitsu in recent history, and its most constant and brilliant recreator), but it's hard to take seriously anything from a so-called "Martial Art" in which its "champion" begins it by sitting; do it on a real street situation and subject yourself to be kicked in the face in no time.
This now is becoming much more akin to a mere "fitness program" with some holds & chokes involved, aiming only at medals & ego, without any regard at all for its use to defend oneself from any given situation involving physical conflict, in the same page of that defunct GJJ and its unreal Gi that nobody wears on a daily basis on the street for you to hold on.
Please, Master Bravo, focus in developing & combine only the Self-Defense aspect of your JJ, and include ONLY this approach and technique into EBI tournaments from now on – as you've already done with Combat JJ.

So listening to Eddie Cummings, EBI will now become just a stall and ride out in overtime. I thought this whole idea was to submit people. If the majority of these fights become stalling snorefests, it will be the end of a great show. I hope Eddie Bravo does not let that happen.

I love Eddie Cummings but I don't get why he still seem so bitter about his match with geo at bantam weight. He lost via overtime yes but doing the whole stall and ride thing isn't cummings at all and the sub only competitions that he prefers would lose its purpose. I hate to say it but if eddie really does go in with this mindset, I think he'll lose. I am a big fan of eddie cummings but I don't think this will go his way.
Then again, he might be playing mind games.
Speaking of conserving energy, why not do a craig jones and sub the shit out of everyone in 30 seconds or less and THEN ride out the finals. yes???
