i feel like in the long term it was a good signing but short term bad. Any midfielder coming in worth 40-50m would’ve helped us more this season but in 3 years time that midfielder might be average whilst gakpo could be world class
Definitely an opportunity purchase imo. Guy was way stupidly undervalued. If we didn’t sign him I doubt there would have been a midfielder brought in anyway.
Craig I'm so glad that you understand that now you know nothing , but to me your still moaning about midfielders , 😂 , einc Klopp came to our club he's done this defending from the front ,but Gapko can play in midfield and Klopp is making him play in different roles , just trust in Klopp , he knows what he's doing more than anyone else , signing players and not signing players he still knows how hat he's doing

I get why we signed him. Gakpo is an extremely good player with a lot of potential but we still needed midfielders as well.
