Arsenal fan here who agreed that Cedric played Son and not the ball. Exactly what Konate is doing here. If the ref that called Cedric’s is on VAR, shouldn’t he be telling the ref to go take a look? Where’s the consistency? A foul should be a foul no matter the color of the jersey, reputation of the player, match officials, etc.
Just like NLD this is not a penalty. Not enough force used, player went down too easy trying to buy it. Leaning into a player is not a foul. Thats what cedric did, and also what Konate did here. Why two different decisions? Because with Konate there is no commercial interest in keeping a top 4 race alive. Shame on FA and Sky for obvious match fixing.
