the Habs have a good road record. Also both teams have a similar style. Both clubs will play with passion. the question is Will Fleury show up? Will Montreal's depth overwhelm Vegas? Or will Vegas dominate the offensive zone?
I never understood the Pacioretty hate in Montreal, not the best captain but he was a great player for us.

The much more interesting story was the forced marriage of Pacioretty and Stone. These guys admitted they didn't like each other at all. Ask them today. Then adding the speed of Stevenson and you have his speed added to Stone's clever stick and Pacioretty's goal scoring ability. Patches is very happy in Vegas, thank you. I think he wants a cup over his head in his new home in the sun.

Max was an amazing canadien! I'm glad he is having success elsewhere and I think the trade was great for both sides. I want him to lose in round 3 but wish him all the best vs any other team. GO HABS GO!

Umm, as a VGK season ticket holder, I don’t think there will be that many Hab fans in Vegas for the following reasons. 1). Canada won’t even let their people go to their own games in Canada. Do,you think it’s worth the hassle to go to Vegas and then quarantine to go back home? 2) Have you seen Vegas fans the past series, it’s crazy there, louder than it has ever been. Going to be hard to find tickets. I hope Habs go to Vegas, it’s an awesome environment! But Canada has kind of turned into a nanny state lately and has locked everyone up.
Max was a good Hab but I'm glad they made the trade. Both teams got something good, but for many fans, this is the chance to make the definitive determination on who won the trade. It will be a great series.

As a Habs fan, I stand in the wishing-Pacioretty-the-best group. Even though my emotions were shaken a bit when you mentionned that he was picked as Captain over Plekanec and especially Markov, I really don't think the player should pay the whole price for ''underdeserving to be Captain''. As much as this fanbase, the one I belong to, is great, we put so much pressure on players every time. This has to calm down, if not for the mental wellness of players involved, at the very hockey-least because then less and less decent players are attracted to here.
I felt it was especially the case something like two years ago when past captains were honored, and when it came to him (absent since playing in respectfully and surprisingly decent hockey city Vegas the same night, obviously) the crowd was booing him so loud, even Hans Moleman couldn't land any ''Boo-urns''.
Also, after two rounds of kinda surfing on having the best player of the other team* removed from the game, even Ryan Reaves will be careful.
*the best, or arguably so. (Also Scheifele removed himself, just sayin')
In sum, I think Vegas will win, but it will be awesome to watch!

You lost all respect when you said there would be a lot of Canadian fans in fortress. This is not true, 14 day travel restrictions mean there will be ZERO Canadian fans in building. Not that it matters, even if they were there they would be drowned out by the rabid Vegas fans who are BY FAR the loudest fans in the NHL, by a mile, it's the hardest building in NHL for a road team to win in and has been for 4 straight years. You ask tractor is going to be Josh Anderson number 17. Cuz he's not getting pushed around and bullied just like with Colorado Avalanche. Josh Anderson is a fighter I seen him take on the whole entire bench at one time with the the Toronto Maple Leafs. You got him on the right side and then all the sudden you got Nick Suzuki on the other side that is a lethal combination I can't wait for this series to start. And also look for number 77 Brett Haulk . He is going to be in the middle in front of price and he is going to be a Bonecrusher so this is going to be a little bit different hockey then people think.
