Plus the MD games, I drove to college park Metro( free parking) get on the Terps bus( free ride to game) drops off at stadium. Easiest college 🏈 venue to get to… Been to UK, Louisville, Wake, dUKe and VA.
They don't like the idea of a big city ? But they brought in Texas lol Austin is like one of the biggest cities in America
🗣 Talk is cheap! ☹ What's the Holdup? 🤬 Let's Go! 🙋♂️🙋♂️
To summarize: Miami sucks
I would choose Florida State over Miami for the simple reason that Florida State has a football stadium. The hurricanes don’t.
Fsu gets 3.2 m views a week on average, 70% higher than the ACC average, with Clemson 3.1 coming up just short but still respectable. Miami comes in a middle of the pack 2 m with no real national draw. I think fsu v ND peaked at 9.5 m viewers. #KISS 😊😢😢
ESPN will drive conference expansion. They will NOT want to lose FSU and Clemson to B1G and Fox Sports!
Stop it. College football was dying for everybody but the blue bloods before realignment. Is it anymore a regional game for FSU to go to Boston College
Louisville,Syracuse, Notre Dame,or Pittsburgh than B1G teams?
NC get 1.6 m views while Virginia 1.7 m views
#lackluster😢
I would take big10 money with better academics🎉
FSU better watch it they need that Miami game to recruit South Florida as good as they do. If they bolt to the SEC that will take them far away from the South Florida recruit goldmine.
The only thing that matters to these conferences and media giants are how many viewers can they get for television.
Location doesn’t matter. That’s why the B10 took USC and UCLA.
FSU and Clemson bring big tv numbers. So the SEC and B10 will compete to get those teams. It’s about becoming the best conference both athletically and monetarily, while at the same time diminishing the power of any rival conferences.
As Noles Fan I'll definitely be making road trips in SEC than any other conference including ACC
Nobody knows anything, everyone's speculating. Why would any conference show there hand this early? When the time comes and things turn out completely different they'll use the excuse the landscape of college has changed since these predictions were made.
GaTech offers nothing. At best they are the 4th most popular college team in Atlanta, behind UGA, Alabama and Auburn, per a survey by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Miami makes way more sense as far as TV rights. Don't even start with the whole academics lie.
Once Clemson and FSU join the SEC, there will be a mass exodus from the PAC and ACC to the 3 remaining conferences: B1G, SEC and BiG12. This will basically kill off the ncaa and what remains is a super division, sort of like a minor league comparable to what professional baseball has.
FSU will get cucked in the SEC
Miami has AAU status already, they’re going to the Big. SEC isn’t taking 3 FL teams. Goodbye to that great rivalry between the Noles and Canes. I’m okay with Miami going to the Big. Go Canes!!!
Tallahassee is a hick town, better suited for the KKK (SEC) conference. The city of Miami is a more enlightened and dynamic spot on the map. Miami is better suited for the Big10.
FSU, Miami, Clemson and UNC will be the only programs taken by the P2. Their will not be this huge 8 team migration to the P2, thats not how this works. Some of the remaining ACC teams will be in a similar predicament as the current PAC. Do they backfill or do they migrate to the B12. And then their is Notre Dame.
The stronger argument for Florida State to the SEC is culture. Travel time is the weakest argument. Travel is already a lot in these modern conferences and would be unavoidable whether staying in the ACC, going to SEC or Big Ten. It's 12 hours between Tallahassee and Columbus, Ohio (Big Ten). 12 hours between Tallahassee and College Station, Texas (SEC). 15 hours from Tallahassee to Norman, Oklahoma (SEC). 14 hours from Tallahassee to Fayetteville, Arkansas (SEC). 10 hours from Tallahassee to Louisville (ACC) or Lexington, Kentucky (SEC). 19 hours between Tallahassee and Boston (ACC). 13 hours between Tallahassee and Champaign, Illinois (Big Ten). 12 hours between Tallahassee and Bloomington, IN (Big Ten). 14 hours between Tallahassee and Columbia, Missouri (SEC). 18 hours between Tallahassee and Syracuse (ACC). The weather is going to be more or less the same nationwide from late August to mid-October. And even when the weather starts to turn, it's just as cool to mild in late Fall in the east and midwest as it is in the mid- and upper south through most of November. There will be similar concentration of nearby schools for FSU if it stays in the ACC or switches to the SEC, but the travel is unavoidable anywhere except somewhere like the Mid-American Conference.
I wouldn't miss UM at all. Granted, FSU vs. UM has resulted in lots of excitement and drama, but UM's "attitude" has always rankled me. UM has had some great teams and individual players, but in recent years has faded into the background when it comes to meaningful match-ups on autumn Saturdays.
