  1. I swing with an 'out to in' of about 1 to 2 degrees – does this mean I'm 'over the top'? I don't know if I should keep trying to correct this. Thanks!

  2. Host "overswinging" I see comes from the lead elbow breaking down and folding due to the speed of the back swing and weight of the club. Can you make a video explaining that for people that do not have a pause in their swing like you showed here?

  3. Pretty sure this is what went sideways on my driver swing toss morning. I couldn't hit anything and got through the rest of the round with hybrid. Which was pretty nice btw. I'll have to work on properly maintaining the tilt

  4. Hey le baton d'hockey est rendu droitier! I laughed out loud when shawn put his hand on Mu's head "non non" 😝 I've pop flied my fair share, especially when I've tried to put a little pepper on them. In real time, the "feel" when swinging on a tilted axis is that the backswing is shortened, leading to overcompensation.

  5. Great video! Can’t wait to practice this move. Does this apply to irons as well? I was always told to have the “same swing” for all clubs. I imagine the driver is slightly different than irons?

  6. Shawn, your technique and philosophy have saved my game… all I had to do was really buy in and apply it all at the range and that has now transferred to the course. And Sav, you are an inspiration, my total goal is to be as smooth as you! Keep these awesome videos coming my friends! Thank you!

  7. Shawn – I'm really working on the tilt, makes my swing feel more free! What video do you recommend for chipping with this similar technique?

  8. Holy cow. I have struggled with an "over the top" driver. Last week, I was carrying my driver 197 yards (average). After this video, I am now carrying 229 yards. All of this was measured on a GC Quad monitor. Wow!

  9. A light bulb just went off on why I've been slicing my drives into the fairway to the right these past couple of months. Hold on …. off to the range.

  10. I believe this is the core reason my driver has become so erratic. I tend to pull the ball down my feet and this explained exactly why… need to work on the range but now i have a starting point! thanks you WIG Team!

  11. MU is amazing! To see him now compared to what he was when he first started with you is unreal. I feel like the ball he hit in that slow mo went 350 before it landed

  12. This video is just visually wonderful. Made me want to get in the car and drive to Quebec! The slo-mo swings were terrific. Well after my pity party comment last week on your driver setup video (I apologize) I went to work on this. I also went back to one of the original things I remember you teaching when I first found your channel, R.I.B.S., and realized I couldn't check any of the boxes. A few range sessions later and wouldn't you know it all is back on track. I realized I was setting up the way you are talking about and then defaulting to facing the ball. Room for improvement but the last round was 180° turn around with the driver. This video reinforced what I figured out and will keep working on. Thanks again for the great content!

  13. I’ve tried this today and amazing the result was it fixed me delivering from outside/inside to inside/outside with much higher ball and better carry … one of the best videos ever Shawn thanks three of you … you’re awesome
    cheers from France

  14. I think my main takeaway here is if you keep that tilt and imagine you are driving that nail into the doorway from the sideways angle, you'll never go off the beat and path. Eventually, you'll perfect it and be a master at the driver. I'm starting to get very good at this with practice.

  15. I think I would be a scratch golfer if i had this training and the luxury of this indoor facility. That would be nice.

  16. I’m a decent golfer but I’ve fought the over the top tendency forever. Your teaching thoughts make sense and I cannot wait to get to the range to work on this. Thank you!!!

  17. Leaving my head back, turning the back forty toward the ball on the backswing, finally maintaining the tilt and hammering right through the ball, have actually been smoking the three wood (which has never happened before). Nice long consistent strike path and club height through impact. Hopefully I can build this swing into muscle memory now that it's finally clicking.

  18. Now I see why Sav has mentioned her really strong grip! Wouldn't work for me, but it's perfect for her, obviously. Really hope I get to see her on Symetra and then LPGA in the near future. Shawn's tips on the grip have helped me hit the center of the face on my irons more consistently. As a Premium member, I may end up watching ALL your videos multiple times. Thanks for all you do (all 3 of you).

  19. This is a breath of fresh air watching left handers on YouTube for a change. I’ve wasted 4 years trying to play right handed because some golf pro told me back then that it would be ‘better for me’? I’m left handed with everything else I do and made the switch 2 weeks ago and am already hitting irons better than I ever did right handed. These videos with left handers are fantastic and are helping me to start learning the game again. Thanks Shawn 👍🏻

  20. Hello…been following your videos for some time. Saw this video and one other recent one (about maintaining my shoulder tilt) which intrigued me, since I always thought I was supposed to lower my lead shoulder and "lean" into the ball. As you described in the video, my biggest issue was pulling the ball, especially with my driver and I could never fix coming over the top. Well, I gave this video a shot yesterday on the driving range and was absolutely amazed at the results….ball went straight…divots were straight (as opposed to going to the right) and I was hitting draws for the first time in my life!! WOO HOO!! Can hardly wait until I get onto the golf course tomorrow to see what happens. THANK YOU for your most informative videos!!

  21. Hi Shawn,
When I miss my driver it’s usually a topped shot that flies in the correct direction in reference to my intermediate point. In watching this I think I’m swaying and not turning or having trouble the weight shift on the downswing. I feel the door frame reference is awesome!

  22. Shawn, Sav and Mu, you guys saved me from walking away from golf. I’m left handed, played professional baseball over 20 years ago but Never picked up a golf club in my life until 2 months ago. Get out on the course and boom can’t hit a ball in play. Stopped score card after 140 haha so everyone was telling me what to do and what not to do. Stop holding it like a baseball bat. Blah blah, It was overwhelming. I just wanted something fun to do outside with friends in the sun enjoying life for all its glory. So I searched the interwebs for left handed golf swing and Savannah popped up! I said Holly smokes she holds the club like a baseball bat… I have your videos playing on my iPad propped up at the driving range and really absorb your teachings! Now I’m stroking! Had my first 300 yard drive down the middle of fairway on July 4th my buddies were so happy for me that hole was my first birdie and had my best round ever 96! On the way to more fun and the promise land… now to work on them 3/4 putts haha thanks again! Savannah keep smashing like we smash that like button!

  23. I'm reminded of the "Tilted Spiral" video. 🙂 Maintaining that spine angle. It keeps the washing machine from getting unbalanced, and produces efficient and effortless clubhead speed.

  24. Your entire channel is filled with awesome "enlightenment" moments. Can you go more in depth on where to focus your eyes, especially through impact.
