      A lot of pundits seem to be saying Southgate got the team right. I disagree. Even with the 'wrong' team selected England should have won that game. I was unimpressed by Sterling but he did score so gets a pass. Trippier's inclusion at left back was bizarre and did not justify his inclusion. Walker was poor and if Southgate loves Trippier so much he should be on the right next match. I thought the substitutions were delayed. I have also seen people praising Mings. I must have missed him doing something because I saw nothing and I was nervous when he was passing along the back line.

      Playing Trippier is actually understandable. You have a football youtube channel, I assume you should understand the reason behind?

      1. Croatia RB is Kieren Trippier's teammate (his direct sub) at Atletico Madrid. Therefore Trippier is the only who knows all his weakness and how to counter him.
      2. Trippier and Walker are defensively more superior than Shaw Ben James (You might disagree but it doesn't matter) in Southgate's mind. Playing 1st game with such pressure, defensive concern outweight Trippier unnatural foot concern.
      3. Trippier has been playing LB for 2 games before friendlies (due to Europa and UCL). Clearly Southgate has been planning this for a long time. Considering this is a match that England can't afford to lose, Southgate decided to play Trippier as he has the momentum, and knew Southgate's system the best.

      These are the reaons why Trippier is starting today. After today victory, England's pressure is released and we will see Shaw/Chillwell back against Scotland in the next game. Cheers!!
