  1. At 20:10 … "squeezing that ball"… does that mean, 1. I have to make the ball my target, and 2. I need to focus optimum power right there ? Seems to suggest that.

  2. Nowadays many instructor present the way to create speed with the body which is hurt my body. I am from tennis sport so my task is look at a ball and create a racket speed through the ball with my hand its make so much more sense to me.
Yes, Bubba Watson and you have a nice swing that I want to imitate because i feel pain free and superb club speed with few energy required.

  3. I’m interested in the Flightscope Mevo+ that they will be showcasing at the show. Any coverage on this would be great. Interested if it is a good alternative to Skytrack for a home practice/simulator setup.

  4. Shawn we need some left hand videos. It makes you unique from other teachers. It is unbelievable that you are profession in both hands. Great video by the way.

  5. Your 🏌🏿‍♂️videos have transformed my game. I compared slo-mo video of Savvy’s swing to my own. Not sure what sport I was even playing! Unreal improvement .Thank you thank you thank you!
    I’ll continue to watch & improve.👍🏻

  6. I said it before and I'll say it now. No golf instructor on you tube has the depth of Bio mechanical, anatomical, and physics knowledge that Shawn Clement has. Then, he takes that knowledge and uses everyday implements to demonstrate that our bodies are already built for certain movements, and the golf swing is one of them! Outstanding Shawn.

  7. hey Shawn. I noticed savvy's lead foot is ahead of her trail foot ie not square. is that the position to adopt with your swing technique? I'm always square or even lead foot slightly behind so my hips are more open to target. hers are closed to target.

  8. Hi Shawn! Thanks for another great video. What you mention about starting the downswing before finishing the backswing around 9:45 in this video was a huge deal for me to understand in my own game. I found that it really goes back to throwing the club and understanding that the wrist set in the golf swing is the result of a change in direction and NOT something you need to think about doing. I fought the nasty habit of over swinging forever…but until I actually went out and threw some clubs I could never get rid of it. People really need to actually go out and throw clubs and be mindful of exactly how much LESS they will feel like they need to swing back to get some awesome power. It feels more like a reach away from the ball than a conscious backswing…if that makes sense. Anyway…thanks again for all of your help. Handicap is now 6.1 thanks to the WHS changes lol (was 6.6)…looking forward to a couple of amateur qualifiers this year! — Chris

  9. Hi Shawn. Any chance of a video on how Savannah manages to get such high hands at the top of her backswing? I struggle with a very narrow swing and have noticed that my club barely gets above my head at the top.

  10. Could you please playtest the new Wilson line of clubs and irons? Rick Shields on YouTube hit them indoors but could you and Savannah play some holes with them? Thank you and enjoy Orlando.

  11. 2nd camera angle is great! Video is 2 dimensional and our eyes get fooled easily. Seeing from down the line and front view makes things clearer. Excellent!

  12. Hi Savy and your dad. Since you and I are both lefthanded could you please give us Southpaws a look at your grip and how you place it on the grip. Thanks Dennis

  13. Whoa I came to this conclusion years ago!!! The perfect swing is a triplet in counts, the backswing is: 1-trip-let(downswing actually starts on the "let") and the ball should be hit on 2 "1-trip-let 2!"

  14. Hi Shown, it is really refreshing watching your new videos. I like the simplicity of your teaching and even my wife II am trying to introduce to golf) can understand the meaning of effortless swing. The message you always try to convey is that the swing is a natural movement and there is no secret philosophy behind. Thank you for your amazing work

  15. Is that Fonzarelli on drums ? It might be a great way to find your sequence of moves with correct timing , i also like the heavy arms making up the triangle explanation . The axe makes me nervous , hope it's not sharp !

  16. I hate this more than anything in golf, I have a good swing, my pro has told me its very fundamentally sound and solid…but i literally just get stuck over the ball, i like cant start…and then I screw up the takeaway and the swings trash…if I could just do it without thinking I'm sure I'd shoot better…i still haven't found it yet tho

  17. Hi Shawn, your perpetual motion drill has helped me a lot, thank you!!!… but I have noticed on video that when I do my pre-shot 'perpetual motion' move my swing feels great, I just brush the turf and I am on a great swing plane BUT as soon as I get behind the ball then I revert back to my around my body swing and that causes issues. Found that I can do the perpetual motion drill well when I do a little initial swing forward to start off and then do my backswing part of the perpetual motion. Do you perhaps have any suggestion or video you could refer me to which would allow me to trigger my perpetual motion move when I plan to actually hit the ball, meaning a move or suggestion which would be similar to my initial forward swing that I do when I do the drill without the ball to get the perpetual motion going?

  18. In piano playing, we use the rotation of the forearm to carry the arm and finger to its note(s). It begins with a preparatory motion in the OPPOSITE direction of which we want to go.

Let's say I want to play a note with my right thumb. I would first rotate the forearm clockwise – it seems counterintuitive, since a clockwise motion would appear to move the thumb away from the key, but this is essentially the "backswing" needed to then generate momentum to rotate counterclockwise, thus delivering the thumb into the key (and "through" the key to the bottom of the keybed).

In fact, playing piano is essentially the same as walking – you let the arm "stand" on a finger, and the rest of the hand rotates first away from its target (to prepare) and then towards its target. The weight releases from the first finger and into the next, like one leg into another with each step.

It's amazing how the physiology of golf and piano are based on the same basic physical principles, and although they may seem like two completely unrelated tasks, they are in fact just permutations of the same basic movements.

I also really like the drum thing – timing the swing metronomically is a great idea, and I'm excited to go out and try it tomorrow!

Thanks so much for all the great content. I might as well cancel my Netflix subscription because your channel is the only thing I binge watch these days!

  19. I am so glad I found your channel, I have been playing a weak grip this whole time. Im watching savannah swing 106 mph 290 whaaaaat If I hit it right 270 tops CANT WAIT TO GO TO THE GOLF CENTER TONIGHT AND TRY THE STRONG GRIP.Sorry for the caps

  20. I just discovered your golf videos here on youtube and you keep saying the Premium membership is only $5.00/mo. but your website says $9.95/mo. Please let us know where the link is to join for $5.00/mo. Your videos are Excellent ! I have already begun working with the Strong Grip technique. Thank you.

  21. I just now watched this video! I didn't know about your YouTube site until a few months ago. If I would have asked you a question it would have been about the grips that Bryson DeChambeau uses on all his clubs and how good they are.

  22. Hey Shawn. Thanks for al the insight. I can get some good ball contacts on the driving range but our courses VERY sloped. So I am either well over or under the ball. In those positions it is really difficult to implement your methods. Any videos that would help me with that? I am a 5‘9“ lady and over the ball really throws me off. Thanks for all your WISDOM

  23. I,m a little confused,i,ve been watching other teachers who say the lower body is quiet in takeaway and if you turn hips too early you,ve almost got a full turn at halfway position, out of sequence in otherwords.I don,t know which way to go.help please.S/j.

  24. Shawn , from this Video , To the one Sav was swinging the Swing Caddy set at 110 , and to get it to Click she had to use her legs . What is the difference from this start up swing , to
getting the legs to move the club faster to get the speed to Click the Swing Caddy ?
