  1. To suggest that women in general wouldn't be able to handle an F1 car is ridiculous. With the right training, it seems like it would be manageable. It's not like driving an F1 would be easy for any person without specific training. There are many accounts of people driving an F1 car and being unable to handle the lateral forces. In my opinion, there are just no women who can get close to matching the performance of the men in F1, that is what I see as the issue.

  2. I don't really understand why, and certainly don't agree, that women should be put into any area of sport in which they are not now represented. Women could not possibly compete against men in basketball, and cannot compete against men in F1. Biology.

  3. You are fighting your bodyweight, so it has nothing to do with her biology. It's STRICTLY due to less girls in grass roots racing, from the early stages right through to more competitive racing series. Karting for a few years is one thing, but being ingrained in racing culture from the age of 5 is another entirely. It will happen, in due time daughters will be asking their parents to race karts more and more. We'll see it sooner than you think.

  4. Im not sure Im a fan of formula W to be honest. The drivers dont need to pay anything wich is great for introducing woman to racing, but it makes ot harder for them to get out of the series and grow out of formula W to anything else wich usualy requires sponsors and financial backing. Also I think formula W should be given an upgrade to faster cars if the series makes money because im pretty sure (not 100%) that liberty media is losing money on that series

  5. I don't think it's a athlete difference as yes you need to be strong, all you need is to now how to drive. Plus you have to be kept at certain wight and size, so at a certain point, who's to say she matches there strength, I'm not saying it's easy to drive an f1 car, I'm just saying there kept at a certain level of fitness so who
    knows.

  6. Whilst your argument about biological advantage has truth to it, It's entirely anecdotal that a "man is more likely to brake later and take the risks. [on] …an instinctual level". And why can't there be woman who are strong enough to race these types of cars. I understand you're on the side of woman, I just hope this video doesn't fuel any argument against woman in F1!

  7. she'll just destroy her rep if she skips f2 or f3 and goes to f1 to compete.
they need to adapt her to how f1 car works.

also simply put, just put her f2 or f3 if she delivers then she has high hopes for f1

  8. Don't care about those dislikes. Clearly they came from those wokeass who don't wanna accept the truth about biology and reality. Keep up the good work!

  9. There’s a decently quick chica in Indy Pro Series (feeder for Indy). Seems strong enough to drive that.
However, results should dictate the path to F1. If they’re not on the championship podium, doesn’t matter their sex, they didn’t earn it.

In my opinion, it doesn’t matter that no women are there. They drive cars, nobody drops their pants to enhance the sport, who cares what’s under the garments?

  10. Well there have already been 5 women F1 drivers in the past.
And whist you can say that physical strength is a thing Tsunoda is built like a school kid!
G forces act on the body the same relative to size, so the bigger you are the more actual force is applied. If you weigh 60kg 5G is 300kg if you weigh 80kg its 400kg. So its relative 5G is 5G it effects all mass equally more mass the greater effect G has. Height is also a disadvantage although F1 cars don't pull enough G (7-9G) to cause the driver to blackout.
But shorter people have better blood supply to the brain due to the shorter distance from the heart and can resist the effects of high G forces better than tall people.( Not good news for russell) . From a physical point of view the main problems in an F1 car is the greater cornering speeds of modern cars, the braking forces and the amount of other things the driver needs to do other than drive the car..
Its well known women are better at multi tasking than men So are more likely to be better at processing info from the team and making setup changes via the steering wheel whilst driving than men.
The main problem for women is a lack of testosterone which effects the ability to develop bone density and muscle mass That said there are women body builders that you certainly wouldn't want to argue with. And you don't need that level of strength to drive a car. There's no reason a Women couldn't be competative in F1 but its unlikely that they would have all the required physical and mental attributes to become WDC against say a Schumacher Hamilton or Verstappen.
Were as a field of Stroll and Latifi's no problem!

  11. Their are already toomany crappy drivers. Who wants to watch women who are not driving to a low standard . Crap idea.

  12. Because you can’t just dodge all the actual good drivers by not going to F3 and F2
And most of them aren’t that good and if they were they would have just gone to F3 straightaway

  13. Michèle Mouton. Do your own research. She speaks LOUDLY enough to nip this dumbass, stir-the-pot argument that I grow ever so tired of.

  14. olympic shooting used to have no gender until the women wasted the men. the next year it was separate. also how many fathers other than kimi are taking their little girl to the track every weekend for karting? not many.

  15. I think that to have a fair debate here, we need Jamie Chadwick to be in F2 or F3. Also can we stop calling women “girls” while we call men men.

  16. She's not fast enough, as shown by her F3 record when she got destroyed by her rookie team-mates. It's got nothing to do with sexism, it's to do with learned talent, and none of the women sat in karts, or raced bikes or RC cars until they were much older than their male conterparts, by as much as 8 years. You can't catch that up, ever.
The first good racing female will, imo, be the daughter of a racing driver, one who has grown up showing a big interest at a very young age.

  17. And of course you know nothing….indycar, BASCAR, NHRA …. etc. Women biologically have quicker reaction tome….med8xal fact. Formula one drivers like Lewis Hamilton are too chicken stuff to race on real cars

  18. flawed arguments, but hey, that's why freedom of speech is great! everyone has their own opinions! Love the comments below, shows people (sometimes) can have civil discussions. That being said, some people are just downright abusive. yikes.

  19. We need an official FIA W Series, F3, F2 and F1. This would open the field and create many careers for many females in a sport saturated by young men all vying for that coveted seat in F! as it is. I think women need their own equivalent.

  20. She’s not sleeping with you buddy.
Also she didn’t perform well in F3 before and that speaks for itself.
Plenty of drivers that are better.

  21. Get the fastest women and give her a chance, lets not pretend like all the drivers on the F1 grid deserve to be were they are, dont sign a women with Hass or Williams give them a chance in a Red bull, Mercedes or a Ferrari a competitive car, dont have them drive a bad car and then expect them to shine.

  22. She's simply not qualified. Calderon is the most qualified female driver and She's not qualified either. Formula W is Formula 4, so she has no idea what it takes to drive a Formula 1 car. She's good against other women in a F4 car, that's it.

  23. Have to disagree here, & Indycar have proven that. With Danica finishing top 5 in the Championship, Simona has also done a great job there in recent years.
Also the Motorsport with the best female representation is NHRA, & they are the FASTEST cars in the world, & yeah Girls beats the boys all the time! Wish the Force Girls, for instance is a great example of! 🙂
But saying that, the F2 idea, is a very good one 🙂

  24. The physical demand of driving an F1 car may be surpassed by the physical training. That's not the problem.

The question is: Jamie isn't F1 material. Period. There may be a girld out there waiting to be found and shake the motorsport, but it's not Chadwick.

  25. She should go to f3 and then we can see if she's actually that fast, or just faster than her other female driver counterparts. I suspect he's right, she's probably low-mid let's be honest. Doesn't mean she isn't fast in isolation, but it's a big world and there are a lot of fast drivers and most of them have an inherent biological advantage. Racing just really isn't on women's side.

  26. If you want to be a F1 driver, than you need big skills behind the wheel and big financial backing. But please don’t use your gender as a excuse for lack of skills on track. Girls and boys can compet on equal terms in racing.
