      Bobby threw the match against Billy Jean King. It's obvious. He bet against himself. King was a much worse player than court and somehow she played like 3 times as well? Yeah, ok.

      Disappointing that the man played only one set each with the Williams sisters. who knows whether the ladies could have won subsequent sets in a full match?

      While Serena is definitely one of the greatest tennis players on the women's circuit, I have to agree with McEnroe's take on it.

      Let's say, Roger Federer is the greatest MALE tennis player in the world and Serene Williams is the greatest FEMALE tennis player in the world. John McEnroe could've been wiser. It's nonsense to argue about something like this. Equal pay and equal rights are absolutely important, people should respect people regardless of their genders. We have tennis matches played respectively by two genders because biologically our bodies really built different. Why argue? We have the greatest male and female tennis player to watch.

      What surprises me is the women would be outraged if men played 3 sets and got the same money as women who played five, you would never here the end of it! But they don’t mind as it is.🤣

      Women tennis compared to men is a joke, almost a totally different sport. It's like kids playing. The whole thing back in the 70s was a scam for stupid wasp housewives. And they should not be paid the same when the product is so inferior. Same as WNBA, it's a joke.

      Heres the bottom line.
      Grand slams? Men play 5 sets, women 3. (Why? Answer is obvious.)
      Men draw far more fans. (Why? Answer is obvious.)
      Women use larger rackets.
      The quality, pace, speed, etc is simply not the same.
      I know for a fact, matches for women are ARRANGED, based on the starts for men. Because the organizers know well, they will have more fans in the seats, if they do so.

      And as another poster said here, being offended, doesn’t make you right, women.

      Women’s basketball, the ball is smaller.
      Women’s golf, they play from the “red” tees.
      Women’s softball…

      If your equal, why do you need handicaps?
      It is a pointless argument.

      All of the above is why women SHOULD be paid less. Inferior quality, handicaps, less interest, fewer sets, less distance.

      Start playing how men play, then we’ll talk.

      With the crazy screwed up world we are in now, it won't take long before men will beat woman legally in any sports.

      There are other variables not mentioned in this video. You have to understand that back then, women's tennis did not have the same type of training, coaching, regimen as men's tennis did. They also didn't have the mental support of their friends and families either because why waste time in effort to play that sport when you should be in the kitchen, right? Still, there is a difference till this day and yeah, the majority of that is due to genetics.

      Women's tennis is painful plus I have to turn the sound off because of the screaming.. I know why that guy stabbed Monica Seles….

      I don't understand how a 29 year old woman who beat a 55 year old man – meant that women's tennis got the same pay as men?

      Serena williams was 16 yrs old. Karsten was 28. It was literally a girl who had played professionally for a short time, playing a fully grown man who had played for years. I do think a rematch would be informative.

      the top 3 or 4 women in the world might make it into the top 1200 or 1300 but most wouldn't be in the top 2000 and if you made it a single gender sport women would never win another title
