Im a benfica fan and I love Grimaldo. Still dont know how a player like that ended in a team like Benfica, do t get me wrong, I enjoyed every minute of it, but he could easily be playing for a team like real madrid or man city. Massively underrated, I was proud to say that like one of the top 5 best wingbacks in the world played in my team. Xabi Alonso is taking his wing backs to another level. Playing with 3 central defenders allows frimpong and grimaldo to go higher on the pitch without leaving huge gaps for counter atta ks in the defense. While Grimaldo was in benfica, we played with 2 central defenders and when Grimaldo got involved in the attack, many times the opponents counter attacked the space he left open… Now Benfica is playing like shit, one reason is that we still couldn't figure out who to use as his replacement, so far we've used like 5 different players in that position an none seems to work
