a win is a win! we'll take that.
Great win, but still room for improvement. Amazing to see Harris finally in the goals. TBF to Carlisle they didn't get a lot of luck. #OUFC fans and #CUFC fans let me know your thoughts. 🐂
Hi Ian am not happy mate I never saw you yesterday. Yes it's practically a home game for me. Lmao. On Thursday last week I picked my team and subs for yesterday game. And the only 1 I didn't get right was James Henry on the bench I had Billy Bodin. But every other player I got right. I agree with everything you said in the summary the first 38 mins or so was so slow. But it's weird how we started to pass quicker when we went 1 up. I have seen our second it looked offside to me I was waiting for the linesman to flag. I think that if Carlisle are more composed in front of goal they will be OK it seems like they panic a bit. But the only thing I am intreasted in is us. Good win could have been tricky and good luck to Carlisle for the rest of the season
Nice win and a bit lucky, but we’ve been on the receiving end of bad luck along the way. GK great acquisition….sign him on
Are we lulling teams into a sense of false security with pass you to death😅? Though MM was also a bit sloppy at Charlton in first minutes. He has been poorly but with these players generally if they were less mistake prone they'd be higher up the pyramid of course.
I saw you omg
You should do vlogs when you go to games plsssssssss❤😂🎉😢😮😅😊
Got to be happy with that. Fantastic support and particularly good for those loyal fans apparently a few Scottish friends with Oxford shirts on 🏴 Harris getting a brace and Tyler great goal. Let’s hope we can push on now with injured players returning, COYY
Great vide
It was predominantly awful but as you say, a vital win and something to build upon .
We've Avoided Relegation! I can now relax!
Two poor teams…… hopefully we can bring a few more in to bolster squad.
Tariqe Fosu is waiting for us))
Hi Ian, thank you for your analysis , I agree , I watched the whole game on ifollow, on the replay. I like others feel we are playing to many side and back passes, I understand keep the ball but I'm sure we are not making as many runs into space as earlier in the season. Our defence looks so solid with Moore in , so commanding. Marcus maguane and Brannaghan made a few sloppy joes passes in the 1st half, which it seems they are not on top form, I will say though the commentary on Carlisle radio said there keeper made a save for the corner for the first goal and also thought it was tight whether Harris was offside for the second or not as the left back may have been playing him on but said it wasn't clear offside. There goal was sloppy defending on our part I think. Anyway a win is a win , players coming in and coming back if the comeback and him there peak again then we do have a chance of top two. Well done mark Harris
It's a good win. But I am concerned about how many teams in all leagues rely on loan players. We look look like we will make the play-offs but we are searching for an extra loan or two to get us through to the end of the season.
Thanks Ian, another good report. Maybe we weren't at our best but there's no denying the elation of another 3 points. We've just gotta hang in there and strike at the appropriate time. Looking forward to further strengthenings before the window closes.
We need Josh back as soon as possible to get things sped up. Also Marcus Browne. What's the problem with Bodin? Mcguane was so ponderous today, when he is ticking we look so much better and clinical going forward.
Oxford had quite a bit of luck, but it was a decent performance. Pleased Harris has started to get goals again. He’s not a natural goal scorer, as his effort for his second showed, but had 10 for the season now. He could realistically end up with 16/17 goals for the season, which would be a really good return.
Cummings looked a class act on debut. Hopefully Burley will get a game soon. Might be tempted to swap McGuane for Smyth on Saturday. Marcus has looked a little leggy. Maybe a couple of weeks out of the firing line could help?
In theory, having a week off and giving Buckingham a chance to work with the squad is a good thing. The trouble is, the last couple of times that’s happened, we’ve been lousy in the next game! Let’s hope that changes at the weekend
Good match review, open and honest. Heard a few over the years, and some can be very one-sided but honest and fair. Oxford midfield was the difference on Saturday, and that's no disrespect to ours who played well, but you were very neat and compressed out of possession. You could tell that you guys were that next level up from us, and hopefully, you get to the playoffs as it would appear you have the potential to do that. Moxons fitness and our game strategy means he is a little further back than everyone would like, Callum Guy being injured has also not helped in restricting Moxon and what he can do as Guy was the energy and legs. Thanks, and i hope you come up again.
