I think Jan should sign should a 1 year contract he will be a good leader and captain in the dressing room but only 1 year

I love Jan , at his best he was incredible , I would rate him higher than Toby in fact , however those days are long gone and age has caught up with him sadly . I would have loved to have seen him offered a coaching role or something like that as he has been a great servant for our club . We need a complete overhaul in the defensive department especially if Foyth is leaving , but I doubt if funds will be made available to do so …
Vertonghen is a legend, I've always loved watching Vertonghen in a Spurs shirt but I think his legs have gone and it's time to move him on.

No. Only to finish the season. He is too slow now and close to being 33. He has been a good servant and will be remembered fondly, but he is done at this level.
I think that he deserves 1year extension. With a proper CDM he could still prove his potential. Of course we definitely need a new quality CB in the squad, but Jan with his experience still can be a helpful to the club and to his successor.

To be honest he been criticised this season but our midfield was poor no defensive attributes. Sissoko winks dembele lo celso , no guard in the middle of the park since dembele left hence why there all having a horrid time. He deserves a contract and is important to keep him and toby together whilst improving tanganga foyth and sanchez.
