I like the new set up. Also I agree even being new to the tactics of soccer. You always play your players at the natural position, or best position. For Chelsea for example. I believe Havertz isn’t attacking 10. But I’ve seen them play right wing and the number eight. But I believe he’s best at 10.
This is 1 of my biggest pet peeves right now in USMNT nation, along w/ picking starters on club insignias. You could only cater to a couple established NT stars, max. I'd posit we have none. There's no Donovan or Dempsey here. Not yet. People are jumping the gun on mixed bags w/ the NT & prospects. Here we're conforming roles/positions to 6 guys. I'd posit it's out of inferiority complex, along w/ club insignia thing. Belgium is secure enough to start a guy from MLS in the WC & clubs play our guys how it gets their best xi out there.

Great video, and fully agree. There's no doubt that right now, we're best off with Robinson at LB and Dest at RB. If Cannon was at the quality of Dest or near it, then I could see shifting Dest over, but there's no reason to play Dest out of position to play Cannon at RB.
Also, completely spot on that 5 years ago, we'd be looking at Robinson as one of the top guys. Had a fantastic season last year and looks good in the few games we've seen at Fulham. 5 years ago, anyone having a Premier League contract was something to be excited about. The talent pool has really improved drastically in a few short years.

So are we just going to ignore how just last weekend, Chris Richards STARTED at RB for the best team in the world right now-Bayern Munich… you know- the team that obliterated Barca and then went on to win the UCL less than 2 months ago? With that being said, is Sergino Dest really a lock at RB? And if Chris Richards continues to get minutes at Bayern and surpasses Dest in development, where does Dest then play? Right wing in a 4-4-2 OR convert either Richards or Dest at LB?
I like the videos a lot. I watch a lot of European soccer and follow the Americans to see how they progress and it has been great watching them develop and become stars for their teams. But do you think you could make a video on America’s next top talent (sounds like a show) that can eventually have breakthrough to the first teams and talk about their potential? I never knew about Kobe Hernandez foster and now he’s on my follow list! Any more that I should keep an eye on?

My reason for saying he should play right back well it's pretty clear. he is an absolute beast on the right. yes he can play on the left but all I have to do is remind everybody of the dest vs Davis duel at the Nations League…… need I say more? Robinson on the left. Brooks and Richards at CB.
I think I agree with the lineup for most of our games, though against Mexico I might want to put Cannon at LB. I agree Dest should be a RB while on the pitch. How this looks for 2022, I don't know, and others could break through or fall off.

Sergino Dest has great technique. He probably can play in a 4-4-2 as a wide mid. 3-5-2 as a winger or as a left/right back.
Saw Antonee Robinson this morning vs Sheffield, he was easily one of the best on the field! Hes good, LB for sure!
Also Emmanuel Sabbi on RW could be better, his form has been fantastic

Not to mention, Pulisic’s nose for the net means service from the opposite wide space is going to be so important! Dest creates incredible problems on the right, especially if he has a right wing/ midfielder who can form a partnership with him to force defenses to change their shape. Do you imagine Reyna playing a free role at the top of the box with Weston supporting the attack more as a ball winner high?
