Thank you for the kind response from everyone. For those asking about tutorials, I upload more frequent shorter ones on instagram.com/matthewismith The 'Mechanics Of' series will continue on here.
Comment below what you'd like me to cover (it'll most likely end up as an IG tutorial)
Day 1-2 Ony tried a bit cuz it was late. Felt the shoulders, back and wrists needed to adaptand strengthen. Also had a headache.
Day 3: Still mostly doing it againts the wall, but already managed to hold about 4-5 sec. with a little help from the wall. Headaches kinda stopped, although I still get bloodshot eyes.
Day 4-5: I'm starting to get the hang of this. Managed to do 6 sec without the help of a wall a few times 🙂
Day 6-7: Started doing vertical push-ups to build the specific muscles needed for a handstand.
2 weeks in: Did my first 10 seconds handstand. I'm starting to feel a bit of confidence in soing a decent handstand.
This is amazing, bro! I’ve been progressing for almost a year and I am still having some trouble balancing consistently. But I have been able to straddle and am working towards the 1 arm. Thanks for this video! So motivating!
I would be the most curious about how your pulling strength and maybe skills involve pulling, strenght like OACU, front or backlever.Any insight on that? Im curious to know as I am training myself to achive HSPU, press to HS or even better, stardle press to HS, OACU while also focusing on getting better on reing combination work and and advanced mobility capabilities.
Yo that's so nice I'm in high school and I'm also learning how to do a handstand I'm definitely not at your level but I've made some good progress my goal is to do a handstand push-up. I also know one day I'll be a ble to do a one armed handstand honestly this video is very inspiring so thanks for sharing
