A bad day of fishing is always better then a good day at work, because we'd all rather be fishing then working. Unless your job is fishing, then you have an excellent job. Awesome as always
RIP swim bait. I done that casting bigger baits before line snapped on me. Even braid will do that sometimes.

Here's some quick striper tips that should help: focus on hard structure like rocks, bridges, rather than vegetation,. Also striper almost always prefer moving water, and fishing at night is better for them 90 percent of the time. If you fish at night though, lights on the water will be helpful. One last thing, try fishing with more chartreuse and yellows, stripers eyes are more sensitive to these colors and I've had tons of success on them.
Hey Greg, I love your channel. I’m writing to ask you about winter bass fishing at Lake Oroville, Clear Lake or the Sacramento Delta. Can you please give me a lure lineup for catching fish at these bodies of water. I had a pretty good setup but lost everything when my house burned down in the Campfire in Butte County. I don’t want to buy lures and baits I don’t need. I want to focus on proven baits that will catch fish in the winter on these bodies of water. I had a Vibe Seaghost 130 with a 55lb thrust trolling motor that was powered by a $1000 lithium ion 100Ah deep cycle marine battery. I’m currently living in a hotel room in Willows Ca. It’s driving me crazy! I need to get out on the water and go fishing while a home opens up for me to move into. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. Kindest regards, David Isham.

That just happened to my balam 300. Got stuck on a piece of fishing line under a dock and broke off next cast. Always retie more often when using expensive baits.
I caught a 31 1/2 inch striper on a crank bait there in shag slough where you caught the bass at the end in that little cut you guys came out off and I catch a lot of sturgeon there too

How does the spiral wrapped rod cast? have you had any issues with leader knots getting caught?

Greg- you may need to just stick to large mouth bass…just kidding! I know the feeling though. Stripers are a lot of fun. They pull hard and when the top water action is on it is an adrenaline rush!!!

Nice video. The Colorado river makes some pretty big strippers. Check out Bren's Fishing Life channel for some of his 15lb plus hook ups. It's fun to watch the big-ums get worked before being able to land them.
