  3. Saw the film at SBIFF. While no one can say it’s not impressive what she’s accomplished- I’m going to say it- she comes across like a jerk. Ungrateful to those who dedicated themselves to her vision, her coach, guy who almost his life,

  5. She swims for days straight, Bonnie workouts daily for hours and I struggle to lift for an hour. Unacceptable. Thanks for your inspiration, courage, wisdom, humor, beauty. Just freaking badass and phenomenal

  6. IF SHE WAS A MAN her achievement would be officially recognised, no questions asked. SWIMMING for 53 hours in open waters at the age of 64?? Come on!

  7. Great story but could be better told and perhaps in a different tone. A bit rhetorical. Also, except for the personal challenge and the fact to only few people can engagement in such activity, what's the point of swimming across? Show what's possible? Inspire? Save lives? Brag?

  8. Wow! I just learned about this amazing human. I DNF at the Little Rock marathon in March 2024. I am preparing and determined to return in 2025 and cross the finish line. 65 years old strong 🏃🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️

  10. The moment she stepped foot in Florida beach in the NETFLIX movie "NYAD" was incredibly hard not to cry. However, although we shouldn't quit following our hearts easily, it may be practical to call it a day in order to prevent more harm when we have given it all. There may really be a thing as TRYING TOO HARD.

  11. Who else is here after the Netflix movie.. *Nyad*, this has reinvigorated me to keep going at 34 in a 3rd world country, the parallels of her journey & the perils of life and success will stick with me for the rest of my life.. Thanks for your courage.

  12. The other day I was participating in a very hilly triathlon. I hadn’t practiced enough. Most of my training was for another, flatter triathlon. But I did it. I thought of Diana when I wanted to get off the bike and walk the course. Foolish, perhaps, to have participated, but I’d done it before. And Diana got me through.
