  1. "… What Messi needed." reveals a lot, especially in relation to the Maradona v Messi debate. Both are obviously on that top platform but it was never about what Maradona needed. Rather, it was put the team on Maradona's shoulders and he will carry us to glory in challenging circumstances. What Maradona achieved with Napoli and Argentina was much more difficult to do than what Messi did with Barca and Argentina. Remove each of them from their teams and there is a good chance Barca and Argentina would still be successful. Very few, if any, would believe it is same for Maradona's Napoli and Argentina.

  2. The Boss Klopp had to quit because of the Man city.. Pgmol.. David coote scandal where the officials have been bribing and corrupted by city club. They should acknowledge that!!!

  3. Watching him in the world cup and how good he was in that Argentina team, i taught imagine Liverpool signed him. Then we got and get him for buttons. Cracker of a player.

  4. Just on the Mac…or Mc
It comes from the word of Mac which means son… as Gaeilge (in the Irish language)

As per ye olde times, Alexis the son of Allister

So the next time you're in McDonald's remeber it's the son of Donald – also yes there is a language similar to Gaeilge in Scotland, Gàidhlig which shares similarities to Gaeilge but the Irish moved into that region so…

  5. What an amazing young man. A real credit to his family, as well as a brilliant baller. Don't be surprised if he goes on to achieve great things in management, too.

  6. English understanding and speaking is key. And die hard fans, as myself, of MOTD have a tremendous respect for Mr Gary and I believe that also Saint Johan respected him a lot but it is really regrettable that that did not work out at Barça as it was supposed to…

  7. We love Mac Allister at Brighton. He left the club with dignity and respect. That's the difference between him and people like Cucurella, Caicedo, and Sanchez. Sure, he had a release cause, but it's all about the manner he left.

  8. As a Liverpool fan we love him but what I am really interested in is the international team and how they view the world cup games it was like a war on the pitch they are class players but not afraid the of the physical side of the game not afraid to get stuck in when the going get tough. England have arguably more talented players than Argentina but would they beat them is a question? do they have the players who will slog their way their way through a game? I think if Tuchel can get England to do that then I believe they can win WC as I said they have buckets of talent.

  9. I always like Macca when I watched him played in the final against France in the last World Cup. He was phenomental, so good as a player.. I think that was his breakthrough in his career. His assist to Di Maria's goal. I watch every match he plays, that match agsinst Real Madrid, what a fantastic goal. I hope to see more of his best in this season.

  10. Do Liverpool interview their players before they sign them? Everybody at the club seem to have their head screwed on right and have good characters. It's a great time to be an LFC supporter.

  11. Great interview, what a nice guy Alexis Mac Allister is, & to be able to watch him week in week out play for Liverpoo is an absolute joy, we are so lucky to have him at such a snip of a price, skillful player with bags of ability!!

  12. Maradona was good
When he was off his headd
    And Messi was alright
    Till’ the Tuesday night
    He played against the redsss

    But oh Mac Allister
    Oh Mac Allisterr
    He’s the best there’s been
    From the Argentine
    Oh Max Allisterr❤

  13. What a legend! Mac means son in gaelic. In clan or tribal times you might have been called son of your father or chieftain. Eg. My name mccormack is Mac Cormac, son of Cormac. And cormac itself is son of Cor. In Alexis case his surname is son of Alistair which has more Scottish connections than Irish so the Irish family may trace back to there too.

  14. I just wish Macca could’ve played longer under klopp, they were like father and son on the touch line 😂 I hope they still speak regularly.

  15. Great interview. Alexis comes across as a top human being , humble and always wanting to improve. He must be a coach’s dream to work with.
