This happened in my small city, Newcastle, NSW. The little stadium was overwhelmingly packed and I live a few kms from it. When this goal happened I went into my backyard just to listen to the roar of the crowd. Incredible.

I find it unjust that a simple trivela from Mo Salah won the award over this brilliancy. I remember waking up the morning after, and my dad showing me the goal, and it took a couple days for me to comprehend how amazing of a goal it was. It's what got me, and I'm sure so many other Aussie children as invested in football as I am today
