      Sir Alex Ferguson wasn't a World Class manager when he first took over Manchester United back in 1986. He was just a mediocre manager that had managed a mediocre Scottish team in a mediocre League. Van Gaal is a World Class manager and has won a Champions League and multiple Eredivisie/Dutch League titles with both much smaller teams in Ajax and AZ. There is no excuse for him not winning trophies now for Manchester United.

      Stop calling it a fucking "process", such a poor excuse, so many times there have been managers that go to teams and do well straight away, Mourinho when he first went Chelsea, Ancelotti when he went Chelsea, Pellegrini at City, even fucking Brendan Rodgers nearly won the league in his second season at Liverpool. Stop blaming getting shit results and under performing in every competition on a "Process".

      I don't know why people are hating on this guy. Yes he made some mistakes here and there whether it's tactics or style. But still, the team isn't really good and most matches the players are out of form. With the exception of De Gea of course. Van Gaal deserves trust in my opinion, he can change to the better next season unless if Jose Mourinho came. But at the moment it's a must that we finish in top 4.

      hmmm sorry but I'm inclined to disagree with the title here too Beany. He referenced Fergie's first 4 years and said it takes time but he didn't say anything about wanting the same amount of time

      You can't compare Fergie's situation back then with LvG's right now. We spend too much money on an average team and after every defeat the same old excuses I'm done with this man

      People need to stop saying Ferguson was poor in his first years at United. It's a different era now. Things are different now. Managers are more under pressure no matter how great you are. Unless you're Wenger. Every manager in the world is under pressure except Wenger. If he was at another big club he be sacked but he knows even if he doesn't win things and just get top 4 he'll be safe.
