I think they are actually angry with her because she goes to high school and has friends and trains less and is still the champion and they've had to give them all up and still can't beat her.
@wwwwwyjjg actually there are other athletes besides shawn who go to high school and even the ones who dont still have plenty of friends and what do you mean by they cant beat her if nastia won the olympic aa gold? if you say she has so many friends why don't any of the other athletes like her…
In Shawn's new book "Winning Balance", she frequently describes herself as visualizing her routine(s) before competing. She wasn't being outcast by the other girls. Instead of fraternizing, she was focusing. The commentator made it sound cute though, when he said "and then.. one other person. Shawn Johnson, all by herself". ;P
Aww Shawn all by herself in the beginning 🙁 People are always jealous of people better than them in sports. I dealt with that when I went from club gymnastics to high-school gymnastics. The girls are just nasty.

@leeny11 her coach prefers it to help her focus I think. Gabby and Shawn do not talk much during meets until after they have finished performing.
