While I admire Roberto's consistent optimism, his continual stream of platitudes that often miss the point of the question or ignore facts is starting to get to me (and a lot of other Everton fans). As a club, you are aware I'm sure, there is a lot of negativity among the supporters at moment (poor runs of form last season, lack of transfer activity, lack of investment, frustration with the board & the seeming inability to make this great football club work from a commercial perspective)! That said, you need to manage your message much better, as the dark clouds are taking over…and it doesn't need to be that way! The reality is, we are probably 2 or 3 players away from having a really exciting squad that can challenge for those European spots again and hopefully put together another overdue cup run. Focus on the positives, try and separate the issues and lets get a good vibe going again (most importantly among the squad and the fans that 'go the game'). Roberto's sunny disposition is welcomed when the team are playing well – lets try and marry the two up ASAP & give him the funds to get in a quality Striker/No 10 and a seasoned CB as cover for Stones/Jags. Then let him do a bit of player trading now or in January, if needed. Lets get the good vibe going again – make the right noises Everton – Manage your message – listen to your fan base!
If we can do to other teams what they do to us at Goodison and defend in numbers, press them high and counter directly and with speed then we can beat Southampton this weekend. It's gonna be difficult but by no means impossible. COYB!
Martinez comes across to me as a politician. Swerving the main point of questions with unrelated generic positivity. Basically talking a lot without really saying anything. Blah blah, incredible, waffle waffle, outstanding, jibber jabber, focus and intensity etc. etc. YAWN. We're going nowhere under this bullshitter.

I feel sorry for him were near the bottom or even bottom of spending in the premier league this summer. Kenwright OUT and the board of directors OUT

Everton Football Club The audio is always far too low on these pre-match conferences, can you please fix?
