      I have a question and it's a serious one… when do we get to see just who the officials assigned to our matches are?
      CONCACAF officials have always bee notoriously inconsistent and having watched the Gold Cup I do worry about this aspect that nobody seems to be talking about BEFORE we play any matches. That official in the Canada semi final seemed to be calling things all one way, same for our referee in the final… and that directly effects what we can expect to see in matches when elbows fly or like in the final a player, Williamson gets kicked in the head with a dangerous high boot while standing and that wasn't called straight Red Card? Sorry but I don't want to see that one again… yet we likely will … so who is doing our games, anybody know yet?

      I am mostly happy with this roster personally typical head scratchers but overall good enough. Look forward to the watch alongs and post game coverage from you tac and yank report.
      PS: heard if we get 9 points tac said he would give the lady Yanks free subs to his only fans.

      It is what it is. You start Tim Ream in any of the games and you can expect our opponents to exploit this weak player with a couple of goals scored against USMNT.

      Really hope they play Dest and Robinson as wing backs. I dont want to see Dest with too much defense responsibility yet. Hopefully one day we can rely on him in a flat 4 but I havent seen it yet.

      Man we have potentially world class forwards for the next 10 years. It’s some crowded competition hopefully they just make each other better.

      FYI, Zimmerman played the final 30 and a full 90 for Nashville in the two matches before the all-star game

      I agree with your analysis. Very good. I would add the people who are thinking someone who does not play regulalry for a top flight team is somehow inferior to someone who starts for a much weaker team are missing just how hard it is to start for a Chelsea or Bayern team full of quality players.

      2010 wcq we Drew away against an El Salvador team that probably didn’t even have players in mls. Mexico even lost to them in that same period. Usa has a bad losing streak away vs Costa Rica. we have to remember the beauty of concacaf especially in away games. Even though odds are in our favor, previous years have shown what can actually happen. I do believe our home games should be a lot more comfortable and should be wins

      No Matthew Hoppe…player depth and strength there is great and I believe Matthew Hoppe will make it greater. I hope for Matthew Hoppe in the next camp. Matthew Hoppe and Ricardo Pepi eventually in front looks very scary and deadly to any opposing team. As they mature and improve their skills…..they can slug it out and win against the best of the best.

      I think Ream is here because he's experienced and if you need to hold a 2-1 lead vs. El Salvador on the road late, you might send him in as an extra defender. Berhalter looks at his roster, sees so little experience and I think that's why he decided to put Ream on his bench. That said, watch him start all three games.

      Zimmerman is in game form… he’s played in two games for Nashville SC before the All Star back.. one of them going the full game.

      I commented this on Pete's channel but I believe the El Salvador lineup will be very similar to what we saw in Gold Cup. Continuity and partnerships are very important in qualifying and especially in hostile environments where communication will be difficult so this is not me taking El Salvador lightly at all. While not everyone is available from Gold Cup Gregg will try to stick with similar profiles. Predicted lineups for each game:

      El Salvador:
      Turner, Yedlin, Robinson, Zimmerman, Bello, Acosta, Letget, Roldan, Reyna, Pepi, Aaronson

      Canada:
      Steffen, Dest, McKenzie, Brooks, Ream, Robinson, Adams, McKennie, Reyna, Pulisic, Sargent

      Honduras:
      Turner, Yedlin, McKenzie, Brooks, Robinson, Adams, McKennie, Letget, Aaronson, Sargent, Pulisic

      For goalkeepers I think we will see Turner start road matches with Steffen starting at home. By Qatar 2022 I believe Turner will be the starter

      I'm a Sounders fan so I'm biased but I'm just glad my boi Christian Roldan made it, not sure how much he will play but I'm just happy he's on the squad

      Ream played very well in match one. Solid veteran presence. Ream and Robinson were among the better players on the pitch.
