@stealthpakfa OK. I am a bigger fan of Chinese gymnasts. They have better form and artistry.. BUT.. in WOMENS events, besides team gold, which is the top medal, the USA beat China (in individual medals). For individuals the USA got 2G, 4S and 1B, China got 1G and 4B. Though if Cheng Fei hadnt had the ONE inconsistent day it would have been 3G, 3B to China, 2G, 3S, 1B. I don't believe Shanshan deserved beam like Cheng did VT and FX. Shes great, but inconsistent, Cheng is great AND consistent.
I was soooo glad when she finally got that gold. I thought if this poor girl gets silver one more time that'll be messed up. Seemed like she was underscored several times. One of the commentators said that he was thinking that there was something about her that the international judges just didn't like. If that was what was going on, that's messed up.
@cj222100 its just internationally they like artistic gymnasts a little more. Thats what gymnastics was originally founded on so thats what they like. In America, we capitalize on powerful gymnast. We might have a few artistic gymnasts ( Nastia) but the ones with a lot of artistic talent have an upper hand internationally.
