I actually feel bad for Vela… I mean, I love that LAFC lost because it proves my point… but all that pressure on Vela to somehow coach a losing team to pass the ball to him to score goals? This sport doesn't work like that. You see… this is why I LOVE the Sounders. It's not a team built around one expensive player… Seattle has a deep winning culture within the team making it the most consistently successful team in the league for over a decade. And that's why Seattle doesn't get all the positive speculation by MLS… because America only pays attention to money, not coaching nor team-building. One day… MLS coaching will see what Brian Schmetzer has built and stop wasting millions on celebrities.
