  1. Seems like this would be a show in ESPN. I thought MLB Network was better than this.

But I do agree people need to stop complaining about the length of a game. College football and some NFL games take longer than MLB games.

  2. I get it….the guy is a radio personality on tv.  That being said, Russo comes off as abrasive, overbearing, and condescending.  Not exactly my cup of tea as a viewer.  I agree with Ben….this style of show should be on ESPN.

  3. I'll be honest, shortening the game to 7 innings does nothing for me. The game is just so slow and monotonous that regardless of how many inning there are I probably won't watch unless it's a big game that features my team. So really, should the MLB wreck the game for fans who actually love it to appeal to people that probably won't watch it regardless? No.

  4. I agree with Mad Dogg aka Chris on this. Baseball does not need to be changed from 9 innings to 7 innings. No more changes to Baseball for goodness sake. MLB Baseball is fine the way it is.

  5. Baseball is the best sport out there PERIOD, better than football by far…look at those retired football players after they retire can't walk around the house…no shit; you have guys on steroids hitting one another what do you expect.

  6. Russo may be annoying but he's right on almost everything he says. Yes he likes to get fired up, but he's one of the few sports personalities who cuts the crap and says it as it is.

  7. What's next? Take away the bats, have players line up on opposite sides of an imaginary line, try to run or throw the ball into the other team's zone and have them tackle each other. And replace the bases with grid lines and the foul poles with goalposts. And change to four periods and add a clock.

Or you could leave the game the hell alone!

  8. What's going to be next, a batter striking out if he hits a foul ball with two strikes on him? And speaking of stupid, the minor leagues now have a rule where if a game goes into extra innings,, the team's start each half inning with a runner (the player who made the last out of the previous inning) on second base! Mad Dog is right! Leave baseball alone! Stop trying to reinvent the game!
