      what happened to all that talk of exorcising the ghosts of Costa Rica? One thing is really clear that team is great at talking big and falling short!! 😂 😂 😂

      Who cares if USA lost they didn't even need to win. They were in that position because of how good they played during qualifying. USA took a team of all new young players to the world cup for the first time in 8 years, that alone is better that a win. They beat Costa Rica 2-1 during qualifying on Oct 13th 2021. So its not like USA can't beat them. Once Costa Rica took the lead in the 2nd half, USA just played to hold the score at 2 goals. Costa Rica has 9 players on yellow cards headed into the match against New Zealand. Three of there top players are 1 away form red cards

      this team still has a TON OF UNANSWERED QUESTIONS

      forward – nobody has stepped up…not a fan of the options used this window – maybe someone else can come in??? haji wright? dike? sanogo? balogun???

      midfield is way too defensive and cannot deliver through balls/incisive passing – musah adams and acosta as a trio WILL NOT CREATE GOALS. im shocked that the coach cannot see this yet.

      the centerbacks really havent been tested outside of concacaf and do not offer much in distribution

      yedlin has lost his speed and doesnt really offer anything truly positive on either side of the ball

      jedi is like a bull in a china shop – not nearly enough finesse to combine with a player like pulisic – that partnership doesnt work even if jedi is a "good" player

      theres a ton of pieces – but i dont see greggg putting them together in a way that makes sense AT ALL.

      All I wanted was for us to qualify. Didn't matter if we lost the last game as long as it wasn't 6-0. For me, it's an honor just to have my country at the World Cup. Gonna be a fun group stage! Best of luck in Qatar, boys!

      Until a country with 320 million people can consistently tie or beat countries with a population of 5 million, my hopes are limited. Pleased they qualified, but losing 0 to 2 in soccer/futbol is a significant loss. Still need what he said in commentary – more proactive than reactive in play.

      0-2 loss to Costa Rica? how embarassing, no one should be celebrating. USA will go 0-2-1 in the group stage. If they can't beat Costa Rica, how are they going to beat Portugal or Egypt?

      But for superb play by Navas, this game would have been 2:2. Costa Rica also brilliantly cashed in when they had the chance. For most of the game the two teams were pretty evenly matched. US had more possession and one more scoring chance that CR. I would really like to see the US attack get more coordinated. If Reyna and Pulisic can get in sync, the two of them could be very dangerous. Both have excellent close-quarter skills with a lightning quick shot trigger. Navas was the MVP of that game.

      It's going to be funny to see those pathetic, puny kneelers get punished in Qatar. The U.S. hasn't had a MENS national team, since Dempsey retired. It's a bunch of he/she/it/they/things with twenty Fauci boosters.
