do you think the position of the sun for heating up certain spots effect them on beds or not? just noticed maybe they'll fill back in when the sun positions on top of the spot, other than that, you destroyed them today!

Question about your Chesty GoPro – is there anything in place to keep water out of the external battery connections? Or is the GoPro side cover removed with cable going straight to the battery bank?
Reason I ask is I was considering using an external battery for my Chesty as well, but I notice I get a fair bit of water that ends up on my life jacket – wouldn’t want to ruin the camera or battery.
Would have been interesting to see what happened if you fished deeper for the females.
I just ran my 80 Lithium lifepo4 on my oldtown 106 minn kota. 8am-3pm clear lake and I also towed my girl behind me in a kayak for 2-3 hours easy. 78% battery left 😅. Think I chose the right size.

Man I know "Sight" fishing is a touchy subject with the bass community but man it makes me cringe watching bass after bass being pulled off a bed especially when it's just "fun" fishing or ganking for a youtube video. I understand fishing a tourney with $$ on the line you gotta do it and I do understand if you're fishing in general this time of the year you're probably affecting the spawn as well but there's just something about watching a bass protecting its bed and being purposefully ganked off it that makes this seem so wrong. You cast at it again and again and again when it doesn't want to eat until it has no choice but to move the lure off its bed with its mouth and then you set the hook on it, when you think about it you're basically snagging that bass. I know some States have put a stop to going after spawning bass. I know that some people say it has no affect on the spawn but just using common sense, I mean it has to have an affect right? You're gankin a bass off what its making/protecting, it has to have some affect on that bass' spawn. The argument is that there are so many bass spawning that the percentage of bass getting ganked is far fewer than the ones that don't. But isn't that why we catch and release? To preserve the future for fishing? Sight fishing probably kills more bass than people who catch and keep every fish they pull in and throw in 5 gallon buckets. I fish a ton of ponds and see tons of 4 – 7+lb females on beds and they are super hard to just walk past but 1 in particular that I watched I saw someone on youtube "Sight" fish her, they weighed her and she was about 7lbs. After she was ganked the next day I went back to where her bed was and she never went back to that bed. And Yes, I can post the link to the video if people are interested. I came back day after day after day and she never went back to that bed. That affected that bed and that female, whether she went and laid her eggs somewhere else I don't know…but it messed up that bed and I'd imagine hurt that little pond. Greg, how many of those bass went back to their beds? None right? That's kinda my point. IDK, sorry for the long rant.
