Im a Newcastle fan, and i can tell you right here and now we aren't winning the cup game. I dont know what it is, but our luck in cup finals is horrendous. Right about the time of a cup final we always have bad things happen to us, and we fall apart, making it easy for the opposition. I would love to be wrong, but considering how many cup finals we've played in over the years, and the exact same happens every single time, it doesn't bode well for us Newcastles fans.
Spot on, the perspective given is overlooked by many. The fact that Newcastle is 6th and still within touching distance of top 3 with no signings, losing players in Jan and with the injuries/suspension of top players is miracle work. Credit must be given

A clean sheet is also important, considering how many early goals Newcastle have leaked in the past month, but the defense in this match was creaky – missing Botman and Hall’s pace. BDB is a rock, but he will need help against Liverpool on Sunday, and I expect Big Joe to drop back as DM.

Let’s face it, we’re getting spanked in final but I actually think I’ll enjoy the Saturday before more than I did two years ago when the hope made it a very nervy day. This time there’s no hope so we may as well just enjoy the day out and yet another cup final.
