Damn sucks about that rod! Just came back to watch the last part of this video to see what the bad ending was about. Like others mentioned definitely worth the $75 to get that one replaced by warranty though.

Brother we have all been there. The worst is when your fishing with a buddy and they want you use your high end gear and they do that to your rod. What a bummer!

I just broke my dobyns Xtacy series $550 rod cost me $15 to send it back and they’re getting me a new one. Insanely this rod was brand new only fished it 2/3 times and it broke clean at 4 eye down. They are an amazing rod and great company that will back up their products.
Do you ever glue to hole on the frog to keep water from getting in? I’ve been doing it and works great
My dad and I use to shave down our Rebel "Pop R " lips because the sound it would make while twitching. When shaved it would spit water more than make a "bloop" noise that seemed to turn off fish. Maybe the sound of twitching your rod up is more appealing.

I can work the popper different on a boat then my kayak actually, I have a pelican 130 so I can stand up in and and tip down pop it and that usually works great too
All of that creaking your boat is doing just makes me cringe as far as fishing goes sound underwater is amplified many many times over.I watch guys measure a fish on the board and slam the board on deck and shove it under the seat then slam the pliers down and wonder why the fish turn off at that spot…duh they just set off a bomb..lockjaw.

It makes a river tidal waters if it touches the ocean? Are you sure!? I thought it had to be a certain distance from the beach and be half and half salt fresh water and a few other things…. I’m probably wrong but that means we have tidal water near me except the tide doesn’t change unless we get rain in
Since I've been watching all your older videos I literally just watched the video where this happened to you. I believe it was right before a tournament. Definitely a bummer. I know if I were to snap my frog/punch rod I wouldn't be able to just buy another one. I most definitely have to use 1 rod for both frog and punch due to budget. But yea. That's unfortunate.
