It will be negligible if we don’t bring a striker in. I can hear the excuse already “it’s not easy in Jan”, “we spent to long on players who were unavailable” “Moyes wants the right player or nobody”. I understand wanting the right player and wanting to improve what we have but it’s been 18 month and any striker is an improvement on nobody. Very frustrating

Mavididi is an interesting one. Being homegrown is a huge plus, and might make Moyes more comfortable. Plus, he likes a winger who can score goals. No way Dieng is coming. Too young for Moyes.
Do you actually think there are any players out there that play David Moyes' way? The fact is that he is as tight as a ducks arse. He brings in someone to oversee transfers and we have the same old story again. He needs to get his butt in gear and stop denying the need for a striker. How can you succeed in the PL without one quality striker. Antonio scores goals but I want to see someone come in and see Antonio as the back up. LET'S GET SOME BLOODY AMBITION, and if that means with a different manager………THEN SO BE IT.
Talking about poor players, I watched Jamaica v Mexico, Antonio was really poor. Taken off just after HT and they went on to lose 1 – 2. Jamaica down in about 9th place and cannot go through to next rounds.

How do we know if the players you named are any better than the youngsters in WHUs under 23s team. Under 23s have experience training with the senior sqad, that gives them a head start over barely known foreign players.
If everyone looks at the strikers Moyes has brought in at the clubs he’s managed they’ll know links to the likes of Bayo and Etikeke are a load of crap. The majority of his striker signings come from other Premier League clubs. The only other leagues he has been shopping at are the Scottish Leagues (Jelavic and Naismith) and the MLS (McBride and Donovan). And even those were for either low fees or loans. Any striker we sign this window or next will come from the Premier League.
