It is not about pro or rel. It has to do with heart and hunger. The guys from europe feel they don’t need to impress anyone and are comfortable with national team and coach. While the MLS player is hungry! He is looking for that big contract and to him he wants to show off. He is not complacent, he is battling for spot. The other guys don’t bleed for the crest like Clint, Landon, Jermaine Jones, etc. They have no one who says boys lets leave it all in the field.
What fecies, Clint, Landon, Howard, were all on a team that didn't even make the world cup. Cus they were lazy, incompetent, apathetic, complacent? When you loose, it's sometimes because the other side is better than you.

While I love the player, I believe we shouldn't forget that there may be a hint of intrinsic bias being displayed given how – to my understanding – he is part of Westchester SC's ownership group. Nonetheless, I do hope we have pro/rel…in the future…some day…not now…I just don't think MLS can manage this currently. Why?…this I yield to others, for I simply really don't know.
adams and mckennie have been in relegation battle and got relegated. so they have failed the test. so i’m not sure what are you trying to say here. pulisic etc never had any promotion relegation struggle.
I am not against pro/rel, but it is overrated. Many of the top players would not have to get a pay cut if relegated or the have an out where they can leave the club. USL players currently are probably on 1 year and 1 year club option which means their contract and career on on the line every year with relegation.
If anything, its because there wasnt really much pressure recently that USMNT is stuggling. They arent competing to go into the WC because they are hosting it. And they won 3 nation leagues. So of course there is complacency for USMNT players when it comes to national league. This means even more the benefit that pressure comes with the players. I have no issue at all with Adams saying what he said. Come on Lalas
The entire top ten national teams are comprised of players who are in leagues with pro/rel, so this logic instantly falls on it's face – so many ways to poke holes in this and it's just Lalas once again being a homer to a fault.

Honestly Tyler Adams is an average player it's not a top player in Europe
