Hi Anton, Personally… I would probably look to sell on. If we can get £20m for him, we can reinvest that money in a younger and hungrier player. Regardless who is in charge, Nayef doesn't want to be in England. I would look to sign Watford's Mattie Pollock who ticks all the boxes in a CB – Aerially good, Strong, a blocker of the ball and an excellent passer of the ball.
If Potter is staying; yes. If they decide to move him on and go a different direction; maybe, or you could look at him as an asset, replace him with a cheaper CB and use the excess towards another area of need. Think the team look better with three genuine CBs; Todibo, Mav and Kilman… Aguerd would only add to that. This Cresswell gimmick needs to stop. Cresswell doesn't do anything at LCB that Kilman or Aguerd can't do and it provides you another ariel threat. If your playing a 3 at the back, you have to look to gain an advantage in both boxes using 3 genuine CBs, not auxiliary full backs. To conclude, if potter is staying, yes, if the board change direction, maybe.
