Great video, man. @5:29 – is that a "no transducer connected" screen on the Raymarine? I get this from time to time too… odd because it works about 95% of the time, and then I will get that screen for just a second.

Break out the Drop Shot Rig in the summer . Also break out suspended jerkbaits . They will Always eat it in the fall Fish are suspended Everywhere looking for and chasing Baitfish . And make sure you use small plastics, cinnamon, Blue, Blue gill colors , oxblood type colors , Taquilla Sunrise . That's how we always fished at Lake Castaic, Casitas , pyramid lake . And try to get your hands on some Rapala Ice Jigs in blue silver or bkack silver , these work great on Suspended Bass . Or a Little George Spinner . And cast and jig them similar to Spooning and Slow Realing at the same Time . This Always workes on Super Clear Deep reservoirs . And Try spinner baits and almost fish them like a jig and imitate Baitfish. WHITE / WHITE CHARTRUSE ….

I was curious why you don’t pull your drive when you use your motor?
I got hosed at that tournament Greg. Only got 2 for the day. It was my first KBF with you guys, I had just joined the scene, on FB and gotten into the Yak-a-bass Nor-Cal threads. When I’ve had a similar situation, I e resorted to an LV500 on the bottom, a bigger jig, a deeper diving jerkbait and sinking trout swimbait fished uphill on small points. Fish both side-saddle the point. Sometimes they are waiting to ambush on one side and not the other.

What net are you using?
After limit on a smaller jig throw a bull worm on a shaky head or a big worm and ween out some of the smaller fish. The big ones are there but the smaller ones always beat them to the bait. Big worms do catch smaller numbers though to just betters your chance at a giant. Obviously the tournament is over though. Awesome vids Greg.
