As a villa fan we are leaky at the back this season, but now our squad is back first time this season, yeah we are tasty to watch. I love giving Newcastle a pasting because there our bogie side but, I still want Newcastle to achieve champions league as well as villa, what Emery and Howe have achieved under the past 3 seasons under PSR restrictions is unbelievable and it feels like for both sides even under these restrictions the best is yet to come! and if it winds other clubs fans up even better! Fair play big Al….has be fair good or bad result for his own bias…I was cheering on Newcastle in the cup final against Liverpool, so I saw how he loves his team….I’m loving my team right now under Unai and should be a tight end to the season for those European places…..Shearer is class and honest…top stuff.
Second, best today to an excellent Villa team started poorly and remained that way. Exposed our lack of depth, being unable to sign anyone due to FFP and PSR in the last 3 windows Unchanged team for the 6th game. Replica of 2 seasons ago. Following week, put 6 past Spurs. Ipswich next, thankfully puts to bed the thought of 2nd
I recall the home game against Villa which we won 3-0 and I remember how good they were. Hope we get champions league football with Villa and Nottingham Forest. Proper football clubs.
I think Tindall forgot to tell Trippier that he is supposed to be at RB, not cb, several times caught out of position, having burn and Schar to cover for him, leaving our defence completely exposed for several of their goals. A really bad day at the office, it happens, and I don't want to blame tripps alone, he's been absolutely brilliant since coming back into the team, hopefully this will spur them back on track against Ipswich.
Well played, Aston Villa, should have been 8-1, to be fair, Newcastle were a poor shade of themselves, which i actually expected after seeing the exact same line up again for 6-7 weeks in a row. Need to start utilizing subs much much better.

I don’t mind losing to villa, their fans are class. I was in the villa end the day we went down under Shearer and they were giving me some top quality stick but it never got nasty. We had a bad day at the office on Saturday but can put it right against Ipswich. Would like to see us and Villa in the top five.
Bear in mind that due to corrupt PSR/FFP rules, Newcastle haven’t been allowed to sign a single player in 2 years while Villa were allowed to invest in January.
Because of that, Villa had the squad to rotate while Newcastle were forced to start the same 11 that they have for 7 games in a row. And the last game with that 11 was just three days before this Villa game. Newcastle players were dead on their feet. Absolutely knackered.
Financial “fair” play rules stop the richest club in the world (on paper) from signing a single player in 2 years while the likes of Chelsea, City and Man U can just crack on signing at will 🤦♂️
