Carlos Martinez is such an enigma. He lives on the boundary between starter and reliever more than maybe any other pitcher in the league. If he mixed up his timings like Cueto, he'd enjoy more success I think
If we had good pitchers on the Cardinals like Flaherty this stuff would not happen..

I think that will show the pitcher to get better. Another pitcher should not be in charge of winning the defensive game when the one that did horrible let in to many runs late in the game.
So this is the pitchers fault, not the bullpens fault. The Cardinals have faith in their players to win the game, however how many times was Micheal Jordan given the game winning shot and never succeeded?

Finally the Cubs as a team is having good at bats, not just 1 or 2 guys, and our core guys don’t look lost at the plate like they did in the last couple seasons
Cubs fans as usual are fools. It was one game. But any time the Cubs win it feels like they won the championship, because it happens so rarely.
