  1. I agree Steve Nicol is entitled to his opinion. I dont share his opinion but he was a great player for Liverpool at right back (or sometimes left back) and he can say what he wants. Im still pissed off that the ref disgracefully disallowed a brilliant chipped goal by him away to Newcastle in 1987! It was one of the best goals ever and the offside was bullshit! We still won 4 1 (they got an equally bullshit penalty after a dive) and Nicol got a hat trick but it should have been four for him.

  2. Defensively Frimpong is not yet a good defender but he has a lot of pace. Trent often got caught a little out of position and felt forced to dive in, because Trent knew he would be cooked if it came down to a footrace.

  3. #focus21bonus7 Salah to focus on assists more than goals. Frimpong and Mo will need to be marked by 3 opponents. Love Stevie Nicholl forever. He'll happily eat his words if Mo and Jerry work well together. Jerry giving Mo a breather, while running their left back ragged, I HAVE A DREAM!!!!

  4. Steve Nicol is entitled to his opinion bottom line lets see how it goes. I think Arne will bring out the best of the new players.

  5. Conor B is an underrated ball player. Good at link-up play and has an eye for a long through ball occasionally.

Bonus: Despite FC 25s best effort to inflate Frimpongs statistics, Conor Bradley still has a higher “long passing” rating.

  6. The thing about Stevie is he takes no prisoners. Straight shooter. Vastly decorated and knowledgeable football pundit. However, if he’s proved wrong and it has been known. He will hold his hand up and admit it and take it on the chin.

  7. I actually think Frimpong was signed with Salah's AFCON absence in mind. In the long term, I see Bradley as our RB and Frimpong taking over the RW position. What do you all think? I wouldn't be surprised if Bradley starts the season at RB with Jeremie on the bench….

  8. 100% agree on your take. Kerkez starts, whereas Frimpong and Bradley battle it out for a starting spot, with the edge to Bradley as he has the better defensive attributes and deserves his spot for his performances thus far. Brilliant problem to have. Quality players and real depth.

  9. What I would say is that if Frimpong plays as we have seen before, more right winger than full back, he WILL get in Mo's way. So Slot must have a plan to avoid that. Same with Wirtz /Gakpo / Diaz, so the gaffer has a plan that we will see soon enough. On the defensive side, I think we will go to a back three, with two wing-backs..

  10. Look what the slot machine 🎰 did last season he'll for sure gel all these player's together and challenge again next season ynwa❤.

  11. I think with Slot, you have to earn your place in every training and every game. Last summer, Quansah played himself in the starting 11, and then he played himself out in 45 minutes. I don't think Slot will look at what anyone did last year, he'll be looking at the here and now and whether Conor Bradley or Frimpong fits better what he wants to do. If Conor can stay fit, I'd like to see him play.

  12. I like the idea that we're gonna have 2 decent rb's fighting it out for the spot in the team ,can only be a positive for the team 💪🏽

  13. Frimpong in for Bradley when Bradley is not playing and Salah is, and Frimpong in for Salah when Salah is not playing and Bradley is. Bench for Frimpong when both Bradley and Salah are playing. It's up to Frimpong to upset this order.

  14. Stevie’s a grouch. Love him though. What a player. Saw him in August 1987 at Lansdowne Road with Barnes and Beardsley. They beat the Irish Olympic XI 5-0. This was a week after Stevie scored the greatest header ever at Highbury. Legend is a word that is bandied about. If ever there is a legend- it’s Steve Nicol.

  15. Stevie was a fantastic player, eorld class, but his punditry and most of the pundits on espnfc literally say outlandish things for clicks

  16. I love Steve Nicol, but my, his takes at times can be mind boggling. If Salah overlaps, then Frimpong can underlap and vice-versa. As a matter of fact, having Salah and Frimpong on the right with their speed and guile will be scary for the opposition and besides like you said, Nicol's opinion seems to ignore the fact that these players will put in a lot of work on the training ground.

  17. Connor Bradley is not strong enough to challenge & stop crosses into the box from physically strong wingers & wingbacks.

  18. Nicole was a great player but as a pundit he's crap. Often wrong and wild takes on stuff and totally random

  19. I’m not certain he will play right back…think of how Arne has changed players’ positions from their ‘expected’ to a new position. It’s fun thinking what could be.

  20. I like the way you respectfully approached Stevies comments. Unlike certain Liverpool content creators who always slag Stevie. He is a club legend who doesn’t get the credit and respect he deserves. He is a 5 time League champion with 3 FA Cups and a European champion as well. Yes he does make some controversial statements but the hate he receives is disproportionate
