The dude is very combative, a good tackler, positionally astute and can pick a pass, but is it worth us letting Partey go for this 31 year old? If he was much younger, it would have been a NO BRAINER, but for me, the jury is still out. Good addition nonetheless!

For me he's slightly better than Partey in those quick forward passes as soon as he wins the ball back maybe not the accuracy like Partey but Partey tends to take at least an extra touch and that ruins the pass hence Havertz makes loads of runs but doesn't get the ball because by the time Partey is ready to make the pass he sees Havertz or Saka is offside so he just goes short.
How do get through this guy, Rice, Saliba and Gabriel?!
These type of players always difficult to assess as they don’t stand out doing the dirty work. I suppose only Brentford fans have a good idea of just how impactful is this player. From the comments sounds like a good addition to Arsenal

This cant real.. hes ok i guess for 10mil for back up but i would of thought we are alittle ahead on our process journey for 30yr old back up players but hey look at al hilal almost beat real madrid the other day with so called players at the end of there career's

Arteta has been a midfielder and a midfielder is a balance for one's team, from defense to attack. And with this guy, and a proper striker (sesko or gyokeres, or even alavarez) and with martinelli staying replacing by rodrygo or proper winger, believe me, the process has finally come with a storm any teams can stand with
Wrong type of sigining, Norgaard should stay at Brentford. Arteta and Arsenal never learn, they are building a territorial army of defenders rather than building a proper squad to actually win trophies. Liverpool and City recruit from a position of strength and through research. Arsenal prefer to sign poundland players on the cheap.
