Incredibly Honduras made the semis .. it'd be super weird if Canada didn't. It would also be super weird if they met in the Finals. I just hope it doesnt go to penalties, I don't think Canada is all that good in them ..
Fc Porto probably saw the el salvador game and doesn't wanna risk the injury. I don't blame them if i was paying a player 8+ million dollars and they got injured in a shitty tournament, that has no reprecussions to low quality/dirty soccer I wouldn't want to let that player go. Estaquio would definitely get targetted by the lower level teams. Plus this is a good opportunity to have younger players adapt and improve within country soccer.
I still would rather see what our "uncertains" to make the W Cup roster players can do. I'm fine with Eustaqiou being unavailable, lets continue to see what Sigur, Choiniere, Kone and Saliba can do. US doesn't have anywhere near their A squad, we should be able to do the same against this level of competition
So FC Porto told them BEFORE the tournament that they would not be releasing Eustaquio yet he blames the teams poor performance for him not being released. If he wanted to win favour with the FC Porto board and have the player released for NON OBLIGATORY matches perhaps he should not say things like " They are in a bit of a panic" when he knew full well the player would not be released… its not like he was told yes before then no after the competition. At the end of the day the clubs are the ones who pay their wages and the only ones who care about the players good health. How many more long flights, climate adjustments and Mickey Mouse games do the players have to bear before you can allow them to have a proper rest both physical and mental? A new coach will come to the club, let Eustaquio show what he can do and earn a place after having a well deserved rest and mental reset… that's how you will have him playing first team and in form for the International games that really matter. A coach worth his title should know that instead of taking cheap shots at the club who had already informed him of THEIR decision. He should take the opportunity to see what other players can do instead of risking Eustaquio being out for months with an injury from playing too many games.

No idea why St Clair is in goal. Seriously bad move. Let’s see if FC Porto releases any of their players for the Portugal team. What donkeys.
Man, this is outrages!!!!
Let's be sure no one looks to Eustaquio. He made his desires to play for Canada very clear. This is a sham.

Any team that prevents a player from playing for their home country has no honour.
Can’t blame porto, after what happened to Davies… no club wants to risk a player getting injured.
He is about to get sold from porto. Relax beavers
They saw what Canada did to Alphonso Davies, which ruined Bayern's trophy push and said NOPE, not our guy!
So the Gold Cup is no longer protected by FIFA, meaning the Gold Cup is ostensibly an exhibition tournament.
Stephen playing for Porto gave a chance to Sigur and Choiniere to show us they where ready , and they have done great .
Totally overated just like Osorio the creampuff
WOULDNT most players be furious/mad at their CLUB for doing this?
He sits on the bench for Porto. He has barely played for them in 3 years
