  1. We need to stop pay to play so that we actually get good players in the USMNT cause I guaruntee there are players who are poor and cant get the scouting for them since our FA cant send out enough scouts apparently

  2. Can’t not qualify for the World Cup though, FIFA is helping us out with the new rules regarding ranking qualifications. Any yet why do I get the feeling…

  3. Wow look at that mostly mls players, I get it it’s January and it’s usually mls heavy but have we seen a all European team? Doing this would show all the casuals who is really better, they want to prevent this at all cost

  4. Darlington nagbey doesn't want to play for the US because he never gets s chance to play. He is one of the best midfielders in the MLS but is always an unused sub for Us. Being played behind, Trap, Bradley, and that other guy Roldon, who I barely remembered because he is that forgetful

  5. The end is near… we will never win another game against Trinidad… we need our complacent veteran players! Hurry… call someone.

  6. Berhalter should have never been appointed. Klinnsman should have never been fired. But Berhalter is doing the right thing by putting together this young team. Of course the people to build it around would be Sargent, Adams, Pulisic, and Weah. These four are head and shoulders better. Beyond these four, I believe Aaronson has earned his look. I think Jackson Yeull is legit. I think Roldan, Arriola, Zardes, and Zimmerman have proven they are not good enough. But Arriola is that guy who you want to inspire everyone. So he stays. And Aaron Herrera from SLC should be given a chance.

  7. I don’t think it’s desperate to recognize the situation you’re in and act accordingly. The USMNT went multiple World Cup cycles without any new players coming up (that has changed recently, but is still an important dynamic). Trying to change that by casting a wide net and seeing what you can find is fine. Last year it was Aaron Long who played his way into the starting XI, this year we could see something similar happen. At the end of the day, January camp should be about getting a look at as many young players as you can and just seeing what you have. The games don’t matter too much in the end so what’s the harm

  8. Is US soccer in a bit of a shambles? Yes, but it's called a rebuild, folks and it takes time and, you guessed it, camps (to feel out fits and to develop younger potentials). The joke is these idiots talking about January camp like it's the final roster to be engraved in stone at the top of Mt. Rushmore. It's camp, people–camp. Stop inventing hype you desperate talking heads. Stop following it, people.

  9. In regards to this camp it has always been viewed in my lifetime at least as a lesser camp for fringe players. I don’t see it as desperation but rather an acknowledgement of the lack of international talent and the need to replace the old guard who have now failed to produce results under Klinsmann, Arena and Berhalter. He is trying to deepen the talent pool and should be commended for it. Something only Klinsmann tried but with a more European bias. Although I would argue a combined approach is needed. Looking for Us eligible talent over sees and revamping the scouting process in this country

  10. Fans of the USMNT are a joke and make me ashamed to be a fan. You see all these fans calling for youth players that haven’t proven anything at the club level to be called in to the USMNT. Then these guys say it’s a bad thing and all the fans jump on that bandwagon and call the leadership a joke. USMNT fans are embarrassing and stupid

  11. Of course clubs in CCL arent gonna release their players for cupcake camp. Jfc espnfc has lost the plot. What a brainless segment. "WHY ARE WE CALLING B TEAM PLAYERS FOR OUR B TEAM ????"

  12. Atlanta United has important CCL matches coming up. Zero chance we are letting players go to camp cupcake for that and you guys know it. making something out of nothing on this one.

  13. I like the approach. Leave no stone unturned. It’s not like the regulars on the USMNT have won anything. Get as many up and comers a look as possible.

  14. Isn't January camp always "Camp Cupcake"? Don't we always get experimental this time of year, and see what the depth and possibilities look like in the domestic leagues? Isn't that what January camp is?
