He's definitely worth more than £21m. Disappointed in knapper. I'd rather he played the next three years of his contract and left for nothing.
We’ll be kicking ourselves for this. He’ll be worth 35 next year when he bangs in 20+ goals next season in Germany and caps that with a couple for the US at World Cup. Think we should have held out longer but I don’t know what plans they have for replacing him so let’s see. With a fully fit Josh and the signings we have made we had a good chance this season. Now I think it’s going to be another tough season. I hope I’m wrong
There is no optimism here , for all the potential positive signings, we have, yet again, sold our best players from the previous season.
Can't deny josh (the ultimate professional) who excited every time- whether chasing the ball, disrupts the defences, brute force with pace unsettling defenders and top class😊 finishing, power & technique which Josh will always be remembered as an Norwich Number 9 legend

I think this is a fair price for a striker with his injury record. If he could be fit all season you could probably double that fee but it is what it is.😞

I think 21M is a bit low to be honest. Proven goalscorers typically come at a premium. Could we not squeeze just a bit more out of him? He still has good time on his contract and if we kept him and he helped us get back to the prem we’d earn much more than 20M from the revenue jump of being premier league.
Remember when we lost Grant Holt. We felt we weren’t going to get anyone half as good.

Such a shame, because I truly believe with Sargent at NCFC we would be automatic contenders. Nonetheless, Sargent deserves a move, an absolute role model, a man of character and one who will go on to bigger and better things
I dont see how wolfsberg is an upgrade from norwich. Mid table german side, 30,000 seater stadium, no champs league etc. If we get promoted and establish ourselves as a premier league team, norwich would be a much better club to play for then wolfsberg
I don’t understand why we have to sell him now,surely it would be better to keep him for one more season , it would improve our chances of promotion and all the money that would entail and would he be worth less as a premier league player than he is now?
Why am I feeling anxious about the coming season ? Could it be City have let their two goal scorers leave, that and City were bottom of the form table over the last 18 games last season.
Given a patchy injury history, I reckon this is a very good price.
With sargent, we have a real chance of playoffs, and that is what the board has deemed our target for the season. Without him, I struggle to see how we can come anywhere near the top 6.

Poor asf, years of contract left and selling for no reason. Absolutely poor, no matter how good any of the new signings are, just making the squad weaker, for some money, when don't need to sell, attanasio and knapper should give him a pay rise to stay. With the way we've sold our players and what most of them end up doing since leaving is just sit on a bench or in a squad and don't go further into their career and that's probably his fate unfortunately.
