Should be replaced, Brian sounded like he’d be back in the starting lineup. Lots of disappointing stuff going on this season so far. … then they have a good result and all is forgotten. Rough times.

Ive been saying LB is a bigger priority than a 9. Nouhou has been a liabilty for over 12 months now
Ragen has more fouls than Nouhou. Yeimar and Nouhou are the best defenders, look at how weak our defense is with the replacements the last 4-6 weeks.
I agree with you Regarding this nohou situation I’ve commented on the sounders page , nohou behavior will start to become a liability at this point , and as the season starts coming to end with highly important games we can not afford this behavior. I feel safer having baker whitting . Bell is too slow on that position.
I do disagree with one thing , but maybe it’s a cultural thing. In my opinion if you paid for your ticket you have every right to boooh and talk shit, not the racism part but in the bigger leagues this is the reality. But as a professional football player you gotta have thick skin . Brian is too soft as well he hasn’t checked his ass, Brian has to bench his ass .
I was willing to put up with some immaturity from Nouhou when he was a young kid. But he's a veteran now, and hasn't seemed to have learned even a bit of self-control.
I thought it was just me, until I see this video about Nouhou.
He might be a great defender, but so far his game it’s been – run nowhere with the sphere and loose it, and his favorite move – touch the ball, flap his arms, and kick the ball back to another defense, oh! And get very pissey all the time. Please, time to move on.
I've said this for a long time,… Nouhou is a fierce 1 on 1 defender who's positional play is poor by comparison. In a 4 back defense he's free to take on anyone on his side because he has less positional defensive responsibility. If we went to 3 backs, he couldn't play as effectively. But, the problem isn't that he couldn't learn to play better positional defense, or play better offense which he also needs to improve on. The problem is that he plays for the emotional reactions from the crowd. He needs to play for the other 10 guys on the field. When he makes a run and doesn't get the ball, he throws his hands up in frustration. That's all drama and he needs to get over his need to do that and focus on improving his weaknesses, being less of a drama queen, and not doing step overs on the ball inside our own 18 box… Being a crowd favorite has probably hurt his development. I'm sure Schmetzer has tried to be nice to him and bring him along, but he's only gotten worse, and now it's time for Schmetzer to be the bad cop and sit him on the bench and see how much he likes that. It's too bad that it has to come to that but he clearly isn't maturing as a person or a player. I'm not a big Schmetzer fan, but he usually does what needs to be done, only he usually waits a few weeks longer to do it than I would. I think that's because he gives guys a chance to pull their head out of their ass…

Who cares? We didn’t lose — he lost his cool. For every rash decision, he delivers tenfold as a shutdown defender. Nobody on this roster touches his skills at that position. He got fined. He’s suspended. Point made. Sometimes you take the bad with the brilliant.
Would you have benched Zlatan? Were you out for Dempsey’s head when he punched a guy in the nuts? I’ve seen Alex, Ragan, Ozzie, Rowe — all of them — blow their tops, make dumb mistakes, get red-carded off. But somehow, with Nouhou, it’s different. Suddenly, it’s a referendum on character. A threat to law and order and our ability to win.
Schmetzer is soft as Charmin. He should have also reprimanded Nouhou and given him another game(s) on the bench. Schmetzer is such a pushover
A LB and a CM should be our priority, a striker is important but we will be able to manage without a real striker for a little bit. But we can’t keep running obed and Cristian into the ground. And we all know right when #5 returns he’s starting again.
I think the red glowing eyes are going to be an amazing asset when dueling for the ball! I think Nouhou should be promoted to player coach and hopefully all the Sounders will have red glowing eyes soon!
