Would like to find a way to keep Evan Brown around especially if we move on from Vaitai. Seems like we don't care much about oline depth. Nick Williams can go. He's 🗑️. Definitely keep Charles Harris. He'd be a great depth piece. Need to spend some money on depth since we are always plagued by injury
If you think we can throw 1 year deals out to players that already signed 1yr prove it deals your wrong. We're still the Lions and nobody that wants to win will sign contracts your talking about.
All I can say is STOP being so cheap! If we want a winner then spend the money to keep the good players like Fox and Walker.Get rid of Boyle and Blough neither is very good! I trust Brad Holmes to draft good players for us.
The Lions save a million dollars by releasing Williams, Boyle's spot is the rookie QBs spot, Yes to Reeves-Maybin for depth issues and No to Charles Harris. If you resign him who is he playing in front of? Is he playing before Thibodeaux? If Flowers is on the roster are you putting Harris out there before the 20m+ ED? What about each Okwara bros? I can see him beating out Julian. That's 4th on the Depth Chart. You have to let him walk, sign a new contract somewhere else and hope to get a comp pick from him.
Anzalone No, he's played at a level below replacement this year, save the money. All 3 of the WRs should come back on cheap, short deals that allow these guys to try to play their way onto the roster.
Marlowe can go. Even if they move Harris to CB you should look to upgrade S across from Walker. Wasn't aware that Heath was on the team. Evan Brown is the O's version of Charles Harris. He's played above replacement level, you let him walk, Ragnow comes back, you hope to get a comp pick and replace him more cheaply than he would cost you. Cabinda should be gone as well. No place for FBs in the current game. Also, once Hockenson is back where are the snaps for Cabinda coming from?
You have to bring Tracy Walker back. He's played really well in the Lions 2 High system. He'd be relatively cheap. The other 3 don't need to return. The Lions are heading into another talent evaluation season next year and you need those spots for other players.
You absolutely bring back Jack Fox, he's shown he can be one of the game's best punters. Even if thats your franchise tag you bring him back. The other 3 don't warrant roster spots, maybe practice squad spots, but not active roster.
Daly, Gilbert, Price and Hamilton are not core pieces by any stretch. Are they even primary back ups at any position? Save the cash and the roster spots, or if they'll sign for the minimum you could consider it.
Excellent video! Where to start? Williams: no Boyle: no JRM: yes for depth and ST. Harris: yes for a rotational starter. Alex: no because of injury history. Tho I love him. Reynolds: yes Raymond: yes for ST. Hodge: yes for ST. Great gunner! Marlowe: yes for ST and depth. Steady! Heath: no Brown: yes, pay him! Cabinda: yes, pay him! Holden: no Walker: yes, pay him! Woods: no Nelson: yes. Great depth. Fox: yes, pay him! Smith: no Blough: no Pittman: yes, ST and depth. Daly: yes Gilbert: yes, ST Hamilton: no Price: yes, good depth and ST. Moore: no These are my thoughts and opinions. Most likely to change after the draft.
In a realistic world, I'd love to see these guys return.
JR-M Fox Anzalone Raymond Brown Reynolds Cabinda and maybe Bobby Price (mostly because of special teams ability)
I think Charles Harris got himself a payday this season, and I think he'll be to much $ Raymond could also attract a decent little contract as well. I think guys like Raymond and Harris can be replaced production wise, but id feel safe with them coming back at the right price.
Everyone else on the Lions FAs list can kick rocks. Nick Williams has brought very little production sense he's been here, and he's paid to get interior pressure on the QB.. He can't even do that, and he's making 5 mill.. Tracy Walker (in my opinion) hasn't brought enough to the table to earn a nice payday. 0 production when it comes to turnovers, and doesn't really seem to be a difference maker when he is on the field. He's supposed to be this rangy safety, but I don't see anything that makes my head spin, and he's been under 2 different defensive schemes, not balling out in any of them. The same production could be found anywhere else.. This safety duo in Harris and Walker has been dreadful. Diggs and Quinn made things happen in years like 2017.. Walker and Harris don't. They fail the eye test, and they fail the production test.
I think we should resign Josh Reynolds he was doing good with Jared Goff we're keeping golf we might as well resign him then when Bryce Young comes out we throw everything in the kitty to get him Go Lions

Should the Lions re-sign Josh Reynolds? (“Y” for yes, “N” For no)

show me 2 plays Tracy Walker made this year. I dare you.

If we do get a receiver in the draft and off-season where cephus gonna be at 1-6?
Would only give Walker an 3y deal nothing more
What about T Crosby? After his recent surgery? And Joe Joe Jones on TN should be picked up.

Mr Madden…grew up playing his game and listening to him on tv. You will be missed 🙏🏻
I say definitely bring Cabinda back. The coaching staff really seems to love the guy and he can be a very versatile player on the field.
I'm pretty excited for the Michigan Panthers coming back.
Next year I want meaningful football I'm not ready to be done with football yet

Even though he isn't a free agent, what about Jeff Okudah?
Marcus Mariota will be available and perfect for back up
