I'm sure in some cases it's how well players get on with the manager and fellow squad members, rather than how good they are. My biggest worry is the lightweight striking choices.

I'm ok with Steffen staying home. Obviously, the guy has talent. But in his recent USMNT outings, he's looked like a guy who had never played the position.
Mildly surprised that Carter-Vickers got the nod – even moreso than Ream. I had always understood that he and Berhalter were hostile – and we all know that Gregg goes with guys he likes personally. But, I'm ok with CCV. I'm a Celtic fan, and therefore see a lot of him. When he's on and healthy, he's very, very good.
On the subject of Ream, I was a bit surprised… But I understand it upon second reflection. This team is young. Ream adds veteran's wisdom in the dressing room. Furthermore, he's still playing big minutes on a top half EPL squad – which tells me he's got plenty in the tank.
I have to give this to GB, he is good at deflecting answering the difficult questions. Why not Pepi? he did not answer. Why not Pefock, he alluded to ‘form’. Why Ferreira, since he is such poor form? He wasn’t asked. Anyway, it’s the teM we have and we shall back them up. Go USA!
Berhalter has done a great job as our coach. Beaten Mexico 3 times in a row, won multiple trophies, and made it back to the WC. We could win the World Cup and some people would still be calling for him to be replaced. Our fan base just loves to be miserable
People saying that Roldan shouldn't have been picked don't see him play week in and week out. The dude is going to give you 100% every time his on the pitch. He may not be the most skilled player but he can be a threat going forward and bulldog in the middle.
Not everyone will agree with his decisions, no matter who he selected. Will it work out? Who knows. I would also wonder if ESPN can afford security. The harassment from the crowd was disrespectful to anyone talking and wanting to hear. The people making all that noise should have been dragged out by their feet.
i'm actally surprised how pessimistic almost everyone is against the usnmt leading to the world cup. am i one of the few that actually sees this young very talented team actually making it out of the group stage?
