If Ghanaians don't push for an overhaul of the current technical team of the black stars, I can assure everyone reading this comment that even if we manage to qualify, our performance would be no different from that of the previous World Cup. You can't expect any special results with Otto Addo as head coach. It's absolutely impossible. He couldn't even qualify the team for the African Cup yet we somehow believe he can lead us to the world Cup to achieve something meaningful. On my way to work a few days ago, I had an encounter with an Uber driver who happened to be a Morrocan and also a Spurs fan. A conversation erupted when he noticed that I'm a Ghanaian. He was full of praise for Spurs' new signing Kudus and drifted into discussing the recent performances of our national team. He made this profound statement that Ghana has a young and talented team but our only problem is coaching. He wondered why we weren't prepared to spend big to hire a world class tactician but rather wasting so much resources on mediocre coaches like Otto Addo.
